The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

OK I just had this mental image of Black Widow in there cooking a meal for someone.
I'll do you one better. Duke Nukem cooking with Hello Kitty cookware. This isn't my image but I love so much I had to share it :D

OK some more of my collection, I have posted these before but as part of other pictures, these figures are hand painted and one of them is ceramic, the others not sure what they are made of, but they feel like ceramic, but light. Also a 3D type jigsaw puzzle of an Apollo command and service module.

And this one is my favourite, very heavy figure but also the most expensive one.

Look what I found: http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Swedish_Kitchen_Playset

It has a list of all the accessories, so you can check them once it arrives.
I never would have thought to look at Etsy for such stuff. I thought it was just for selfmade things *adds it to the list*
Oh, thanks very much! That will be useful for many.

I don't know why Barbie is so popular. Have you checked out the new Curvy, Petite, and Tall Barbies? I've been reading about them on Facebook doll groups. It will be interesting to see how they sell over time.

i must buy a curvy doll. Or several. I had a Barbie when they first came out, literally. I never related to her as a girl like me. Funny, even though I was a white girl with long blonde hair, she lived in another world, of elegance and models and cheerleaders.. I'm way excited about the new dolls being so much more diverse. I almost pre-ordered, but I think I will get mine when they come out in stores. I want to play with them, not keep them in pristine boxes. My cousin says there's a Toys R Us outlet store near her and I'm hoping they might have figures with bad packaging. I will let you know when I find out,

Oh no it's perfect for any bigger action figures in the 6/7 inch scale.
I only have a few 6-inch figures. Kira from DS9, a Cardassian, Worf in uniform, and my new Rey figure. I will have to make them aprons.

Now that's a real man! Reminds me of the news story about the tough cop/boxing coach who adopted two boys.

Sorry, with all the kitchen stuff I forgot to reply to a few posts.

I love the tiny little details inside the cabin of the shuttlecraft. That's some amazing detail for such a small collectible!
It really is amazing! Very hard to photograph and focus though.
The figures have moveable legs, otherwise I could have not sit them into their seats. I am not sure yet whether the arms are supposed to move as well. They look like it but I don't want to break it. I also need to paint the phaser and communicator.

That's a cute shuttlecraft. I have the Johnny Lightning version. It doesn't open up or anything but it is nice to look at.
That is very nice also! Are those your pictures? The background? Do you do green screen pics?

Awesome! That's the kind of picture I love. Not boring superheroes battles. The more mundane, the better ;) There is just something funny about having such figures doing ordinary things like cooking. That looks even like real food in the pot?

I don't have much of figures cooking, but they eat all the time ;)

Master Chief deserves some relaxation and good food, drinks and bright sunshine after all the combat he's seen!

I assume he does! If I am honest, I don't know anything about him. I'm lucky that I know the name and that he's from some computer game.

Out of the blue I was contacted by someone who works with my brother and enjoys my pictures on Facebook, and asked if I wanted this figure for free. His hand was broken but I glued it. And so I got me some Master Chief ;)

But then, when I properly looked at him, he kinda looked familiar. Took me a while to figure out why: I am a fan of Richard Dean Anderson, and he once promoted the game in Ireland. I tried to recreate the picture but they are of different size:

Love the Apollo space ship!

I didn't know that was a 3-D puzzle at first. I assumed it was a plastic model kit or a replica!

Yeah it's a puzzle. The ship is cut into pieces like a jigsaw and you have to put that together. It's hard to describe.

Sorry for the small pic size but this is the box

Amazon has tons of these and many different subjects.

I recently found a 1983 original GI Joe command headquarters playset for practically dirt cheap. It was missing quite a few pieces and a lot of the wall tabs were broken. But it's practically 80% complete and in pretty good shape. I thought I'd add a few pieces of my own and breath some new life into it.

Solid Snake is on a new mission to recover some data to stop the next METAL GEAR!

Top Down view inspired by the original NES/MSX game.

That is a great set. I also see the Primeval computer screens have found their way to you ;) They fit well!

Hey someone made these. Serial Killer Barbie
I love these. So funny and different. I saw some on Tumblr and the comments by people cracked me up. "OMG is nobody commenting on the fact that Barbie is cleaning in white pants?" and so on, without acknowledging the dead body. Hilarious.

I won again! The January theme of the Sixth Scale Universe Facebook group was "Magazine Cover or Movie Poster". Initially I had wanted to skip it as I had no idea but then on the last day the muse suddenly hit. And now it won first place! It will be now the header of the group for the next month.

These pictures were done a while ago already:
