The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Perhaps it's because he's 75% the same tooling as Defensor?

I don't really mind that so much if it's done well, though the laziness with Blast Off does annoy me. I haven't quite made up my mind with Onslaught, as I'm not sure if it was best after all to try doing an inverse version of Hot Spot's truck mode. It's looked odd in some of the pics I've seen. I'm not really interested in getting the parts for Optimus Maximus, but I do like Mirage and Rodimus (redecos and retools of Drag Strip and Blackjack respectively) because I think they're nice homages to their G1 counterparts.

The Target-exclusive version sold in the toy department? The Sphero version BB-8 is, I believe, bigger.

He looks cool. Congrats on getting him!
It's the Sphero version. It's worth the money if you have the chance. They just updated the app so it makes the movie accurate sounds and the controls are a bit better. I figured out how to make it spin in a circle like a top.

Ian's favorite toy so far this Christmas day.

That's a cool AT-AT toy. Is that a new remote-control model sold at the Disney Store? It looks well-engineered and I like the light-up chin cannons on the cockpit. :)

In other news, I found the new 6" Black Series Resistance Trooper and the First Order TIE Fighter Pilot at a local Walgreens yesterday afternoon. It's rare to find anything worth getting on or just before Christmas Eve, much less something brand new! Plus, Walgreens charges less for the newest 6-inch figures than do Toys 'R' Us or GameStop.

Kmart had a Holiday sale on their 6" figures, but all they had left in the store was a Finn.

Its a Toy's R Us exclusive and it is awesome! It can move forward and backwards, turn left or right. You can program it to make specific moves or use the remote and just walk all over everywhere. I plan on playing with it when Ian's at school.

I got this

They made a deluxe Adam West Batman set with the Batcomputer and other accessories? Cool, I've never seen that one before. The only classic TV Batman figures I ever see are the single-packaged ones in stores like Toys 'R' Us.

Yeah I didn't know about it either. I've seen the Surf's up Batman figure but this Batcomputer set is new to me. It's pretty awesome it flips around and doubles for Wayne manner as it comes with the Shakespeare bust that reveals the hidden Bat cave entrance.
