Biggest (pleasant) surprise? BB-8 is packaged with Rey instead of being sold on his own.

Thankfully! Hasbro made a smart decision and should be applauded for having the common sense to pack a droid that small (even in 6" scale) with another, much larger figure to maximize the plastic content of the package and the value of the purchase.

The Kylo Ren looks awesome, and knowing collectors he'll be the first figure in the launch assortment to sell out.

It only took them a few tries after GOTG Rocket Raccoon and Black series Yoda

At least they're not doing a build a figure type deal

Yet.

Although when they had the Build-a-Droid concept during the Legacy Collection period of 3.75" figures it was an awesome idea. It was also cheap, but the droids still looked great with above-average paint apps and other details so they often looked like individually-carded and marketed figures. They didn't feel like a cheesy gimmick. You really got value with your money when those figures were in stores.

My boys love Cars, so anything that has to do with Cars is always a must. They are also into Star Wars and when ever we come to Disney we are always on the lookout for new Cars toys. Disney also produces Star Wars variants Cars for the Star Wars weekend and they usually have leftovers but you can only get them here. Well we got two new ones today.

Rey looks absolutely awful IMO. No likeness to Daisy whatsoever. The rest of them look pretty decent, Kylo Ren looks like the best figure of the wave...and I like the fact that he comes with part of his costume as cloth, that was a nice touch. My most anticipated figure in this wave though was Rey and looks like I'll be passing on her. Hopefully they fix the likeness for future releases.

 I can't quite decide if I agree with him or not, Yeah, I can see the argument if one has a somewhat dirty mind, but on the flipside this is the sort of action feature that's been common on figures for decades.

I am glad this idiot wasn't around when Mego put out the Comic Action Heroes and CW McCall figures. We might have never got ANY superhero figures!?!

There's a lot of 5-POA product and repacks of older figures in those images.

Too many.
