The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

That's a great way of phrasing it. I like a lot of the highly detailed newer figures, particularly the Black series, but there are certain ones like the rancor where it just looks better because there isn't so many overwhelming tiny details.

As some Kenner original stormtroopers were called in, the rancor got hungry and started feasting on my Power of the Force slave Leia

Thanks! I just love that movie. Love it. I think it is both a B-movie and a strange masterpiece at the strange time that has more to say today than most B movies.

I want to get some kind of Yoda for this table.

Did anybody ever make and release collectible figures based on They Live? 6" or 12" Figures of Nada, Frank and one of the aliens in a business suit would be pretty cool to own and display!

Art Asylum, perhaps. That way each figure could come with the proper accessories and weapons and perhaps even a backdrop on which to display them.

Nada could come with the backdrop of the bank, Frank could come with an image of the construction site and the alien could be packaged with one of the "OBEY" or "MARRY AND REPRODUCE" signs behind him. Maybe even both so you can switch one out and replace it with the other! If the alien is supposed to represent the politician seen talking on the TV screen then he could come with a plastic podium to stand behind.

Some of them, yeah. The ones based on TOS, Alien and the Terminator movies are my favorites thus far.

Let's hope that we do indeed get more 3.75" super-articulated figures after September 4th and not just existing stock of the current waves of Black Series figures to sell through, but if both Hasbro and Walmart are smart they'll keep making and stocking the kinds of figures that are proven to sell.

It will be.

If there's one corporate entity on the planet that can market its products even better and more aggressively than George Lucas, it's Disney. We'll be lucky if we don't see Star Wars: Episode VII-branded pregnancy test kits and antacids.

Soooooo many jokes to make, but this is Miscellaneous.

And an Action Figure and Toy thread.

Rats.
