I was in TRU over the weekend and found Trek figures. They had Uhura, Sulu, McCoy, and 3 Spock. I got Uhura and Sulu. Was going back this morning for more but TRU wasn't open yet so I went to Target next door to see what Marvel they had. When I went around the end cap I found Trek. They had Uhura, Sulu, McCoy and 3 Spock. Based on this, I think that is the case assortment. This means the case assortment for the second wave will probably be Scotty, Gorn, Vina, and 3 Kirk.

Just got bothe the Playmates and Art Asylum Vina figures
as well as replacement stands for the AA/DST 40th Anniversary Enterprise and Enterprise A
Here's my fleet as it currently stands (May need a new 1701-E altogether)
(btw that's the Excelsior between the A and the D keeping the space warm for the Enterprise B)

golddragon71 and KM just won the thread, or at least came very close to doing so with those newest photos. So very awesome. Thanks, guys! 
I regret having Black Knight and Loki stab the Peeps. Marshmallow is hard to clean off of plastic.

Here is a comparison shot with a Mego Decker, a Galoob Data, and a pvc Klingon figurine. Note the similarities in proportion between the Funko figures and the Klingon. I thought they looked a lot like the pvc figures. Maybe this is what Funko means by 'retro.'
Here is a comparison of the old blue Beast figure from a few years ago on the right to the new Hasbro blue Beast on the left.

No rest for the weary collector, it seems. No sooner has the first wave of Marvel Legends for the year hit that the second wave shows up too. This wave is half movie based, and half comic based. Sadly, this one is not quite the home run that the first was. Let's take a look.
First we have the three movie based figures. A lot of laziness. Cap has a new torso, but is otherwise a repaint of the Winter Soldier figure right down to the same unmasked headsculpt that looks nothing like Chris Evans. Hulk is a bit better, but the arms and lower legs are still reuse from the Avengers Hulk. Iron Man mark 43 is a straight repaint of the Mark 42. The only new thing is the unmasked headsculpt. Grrr. I wish they had put a little more effort into these.
The comic based figures fare better, thankfully. They use the standard Marvel Legends bodies, but it's not as explicit here. My Batroc the Leaper had a major QC issue. His torso fell apart right out of the package. I didn't give him any dynamic posing because the glue is still drying. Spider-Woman is easily my favorite of the wave. She got a figure in the last wave of the Toybiz days, but it wasn't great and she really needed a redo. Finally there's Hellcat. Some paint issues aside, she's a good figure.
Finally, there's the Build-A-Figure: Thanos. This is a comic based version, but he's already been seen a couple times on screen in Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. And yeah, he's a great figure. I'm really happy to finally have this critical Marvel villain. I am a little disappointed that Spider-Woman and Hellcat both came with the same BAF piece. In the previous wave there were alternate pieces, and it would have been a good way to throw in an Infinity Gauntlet.

Hasbro: Recycling old parts, charging more and making you like it!™
At least they're better than Mattel. Hasbro is actually willing to make completely unique sculpts when they require it (like with Thanos, or Hobgoblin in the Spider-Man wave.) Mattel would tell DC collectors that certain highly demanded characters were completely out of the question because they would have required new parts.
I could probably name a dozen or more Marvel characters that could be done just with Captain America's cuffed boots and/or flared gloves. I don't mind the recycling, we actually need a lot more of it than they have done to date!!!!!!!!!!

That's true. As much frustration as we have with Hasbro and all of their recent shortcuts and reductions in product quality (not to mention their distribution problems) at least they're not Mattel. They make little or nothing I want to buy nor even care about looking at, and it's been that way for years.
I've found it highly amusing to read some opinions in the Transformers fan base, where some fans have complained about how the Combiner Wars wouldn't initially have all of the original team members, then Takara made that possible, and now since Hasbro has followed suit it's clearly only about the money and not being both an attempt to get extra money and to please the unpleasant fanbase.
Star Wars is still an issue, but at least on the Marvel front Hasbro has been doing really well with distribution. The latest Marvel Legends waves have been prevalent with no figures being particularly hard to find. You want to talk about horrific distribution, let's talk Amiibos. On second thought, let's not. It's just too painful.
Has anybody here managed to find the new 6-inch Bossk and Stormtrooper Han figures in the Black Series? I have yet to see any 6" figures more recent than the Yoda wave, and those were stocked on the shelf at Walgreens.
