The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Still got mine. But somewhere along the way I lost the battery compartment cover for the Bajoran phaser. :(

Did they ever make a 22nd century Vulcan tricorder from ENT? I always liked the circular design and screen layout of T'Pol's Vulcan tricorder.

I only remember the Starfleet phase pistol + communicator set by Diamond Select. For both the Starfleet and Vulcan hand scanners, I've only ever seen unofficial resin kits or 3D-printed replicas.

I've got the new Vintage Collection "Obi-Wan Kenobi" Vader and Kenobi figures arriving today. I am quite enthused about this Vader, as it's supposed to be the definitive figure of the character in this scale.

I haven't seen these two figures in person in any stores, but I was able to order from Target as they have them in warehouse stock, and delivery only took a couple days from when I ordered. All the listings on ebay for these ones are overpriced, which would make more sense if they weren't actually available from a regular retailer at normal price. But, whatever. Maybe they're counting on certain buyers to only check ebay.

Did these arrive? I just stopped by my local Target and managed to pick up a Migs Mayfeld figure, which I wanted for army building. One of the few times I've found a VC figure in the wild that I wanted.

Ah yes, they did arrive but I still haven't had a chance to take them out of the packages yet. I'll have to do that this evening.

I also received my Migs figure which I had on pre-order from target. The cardboard shipping box was crushed in one corner! Thankfully nothing was broken. The cardback and plastic bubble are perfectly intact. But they put a sticky label on the front of the cardback that leaves a nasty residue when I peel it off. Koska Reeves is supposed to arrive in the next couple of days as well. Still no word on Axe Woves, though.

Yeah, I've seen some shipping packing nightmares of late. So, I usually buy loose online (not a big card guy) and then in stores as I can for the figures. Finding Migs was a surprise but glad for the army builder.

So I opened up Obi-Wan and Vader from "Obi-Wan Kenobi," and I am very pleased with these figures. The ball-joints for the hips are such an improvement over the other stiff joint type, making it so much easier to pose the legs and get them to stand up on their own without falling over. And this Vader has the best articulation of any 3.75" Vader figure I've ever handled. I'll have to post a picture or two sometime soon.

I've been looking at those and while I am not usually a Vader figure buyer I have been considering this one as "the" Vader for my figures to fight against. Obi-Wan is definitely more of a must, but Amazon has a three pack with the Jawa, and Purge Trooper. Pricing isn't perfect but I like all three.

That set comes with Obi-Wan in the blue tunic. I definitely want to get that as well. The Obi-Wan I got, the one that comes by itself, has the tan outfit instead.

Does anyone here remember the Americanized cartoon Battle Of The Planets, based on Science Ninja Gatchaman? The Western version was much toned down from the original with less violence. Anyway I always loved the Phoenix from that show. It was an awesome aircraft / spaceship, could even go underwater.

Getting a model of this fine ship.

I like the blue one a little bit better. The tan isn't bad though.

I came across some nice Lego Trek customs.
