The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

I suck at designing things. Maybe I could commission a more talented person to make me a chart. The person who did Starfox is designing a Black Knight for me (soon, I hope!).

I saw the Funko Merle, Glenn, Maggie and Governor figures from The Walking Dead last Friday. I'd love to find the Carol figure because she looks adorable.

For those who don't know, there appear to be at least two different figures of Daryl: regular Daryl and "wounded" Daryl with a bleeding limb.

Hawkeye admires my recent cross stitch:

If I can find a cheap source for the wood stitching blanks, I will make more and sell them. My own design! I just kind of worked around the circles with my stitches.

Hawkeye's Age of Ultron Pop! Vinyl- I can't wait to get him!

I'm sure you've heard of Elf on the Shelf. I always thought it was incredibly dumb, until I realized--being a sixth-scale action figure collector--I have like a million props perfectly suited for this.

Since 2012, here are a few of what I've produced:

"The Herald of Galactus has failed"

"The bounty"

"I'm not the star! I'm not the star!"

"Strip club barbie"

"Introductions"

"Izza me, not Mario!"

I've got a bunch of ideas for next year.

I'm not sure if anyone saw but yesterday DC Collectibles teased their Toy Fair announcements including something that they stated could be a "Very controversial" which I've no clue about and maybe something that appears to be the TAS Batmobile that probably everyone will go apeshit over if it is indeed what they teased.

Looks like we're gonna get some nice reveals at Toy Fair whatever the case.

New Saga Legends figures on Rebels cardbacks have just been revealed over at Jedi Temple Archives.

I have some new that Kira's Mom might be interested in. Diamond Select is finallymaking a MCU Black Widow figure, coming as part of their Age of Ultron line. No image yet, but you can see her silhouette, as well as images of the AoU Hulk and Thor figures here.

For anyone interested, one of the reasons I like Dinosaur Dracula (well known in its original format as X-Entertainment) is that there's a lot of cool toy stuff there. One of the recent entries is the Tree Warrior from the True Legends line of generics. An additional review here.

I know of the brand from my occasional visits to the local TrU, and while I haven't bought anything from that specific line, I've always had a certain fondness for generic toys. Granted, we're usually less likely to buy them if we're looking for specific big names, but it's fair to say that lines like TL do have some pretty cool offerings for a cheap price. They're not as fancy as a big name, but they're not so cheaply designed that they're knockoffs either. I think Tree Warrior is a good example of that, as going from those pictures he looks like he would make a good background figure or mook regardless of whose side he's on. He reminds me of how Swamp Thing would guard his territory, if he needed guards. Having the giant mouth certainly can't hurt matters when you can make him go "om nom nom nom!"

That's great. They did a 6 inch Black Widow for Winter Soldier, and I have her. I just don't get why there won't be 3 inch figures of her and Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, or Vision!

The Saga Legends wave assortment containing the all-new Jedi Temple Guard has just been found at retail in Singapore.

I picked up the Legendary Heroes set for the Medusa, first Medusa in this scale I have seen.

CCC.
