The absurdity of promoting Janeway to admiral

i would assume outside of the novels at some point harry would still have to be promoted -- also admirals do not seem to have thier own ships in the startrek universe . i couldnt imagine chocotay wanting to he seperated from seven . there is no reason sevn couldnt enter stsrfleet academy howver i seriously doubt that the idea would be of interest to the character. honestly the only one i cant see with a future with regular fleet would be torres: i do not really see paris as wanting to hang out in starfleet .whoch is y it made sense in the finale that he had quit it. torres also going into diplomacy makes a little more sense i mean just simply not in starfleet . i do not think they would have much use for torres as a starfleet engineer . i am still not sure how she becamse voyagers engineer less u derstanding od why seven never replaced her but whatevs : as faras resinong a commision any admiral could have re instated it as well as pardoning him so there is no reason to believe that at the very least after janeway was promoted she wouldnt have hooked him up

Spoilers

In the relaunch novels Janeway, Chakotay, Harry, The Doctor, Tom and B'Elanna are all serving in the Voyager fleet together
more directly about not wanting to setve together again: 0k i got sick of duty ststions here on earth after just a couple of years and also once inside a chain of command no matter what you do firt impression is last impression so thats why harry is always considered the same as when he first got to voyager so at least for harry i would be like deuces so it would make up lots of reasons why after seven years inside a ship as small as voyager you would like man mo i dont want to see any of these people ever again

Not really sure what you are saying

it seemed to me that after seven years and the difficult times they went through brought them all closer, made them friends

yea but that doesnt mean you want to spend another seven years with them close to a lot of people i was in combat with but i am not moving to florida to be truck drivers with them

After M*A*S*H* = Col. Potter, Klinger and Father Mulcahey running a hospital together.

Or a real world example - Clarkson fired from Top Gear. Hammond and May quit soon after and joined him in a project of their own.

When you have a close rapport with people to the point they're like family, and you trust them with your life why would it be unrealsitic that they'd take the opportunity to work with each other again?

think the original point wasnt thst they might want to continue to serve together but.. was actually why wouldnt they want to go on serving together ...kind of lost the origianl point. point was people stay friends but pursue different things spock became an ambassador : kirk retired , then let picard kill him, mccoy went back to georgia ... just saying people dont always want to go on doing the samething since thenoriginal wuestion was y would the voyager crew not want to remain following janeway directly agter seven years together; my point is it doesnt work thay way
