"V" is a re-imagining of the 1980's miniseries about the world's first encounter with an alien race in which the aliens call themselves The Visitors, and have a seemingly friendly agenda that may or may not be a cover for something more malevolent.

"V" stars Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans, Morris Chestnut as Ryan Nichols, Joel Gretsch as Father Jack Landry, Lourdes Benedicto as Valerie Stevens, Logan Huffman as Tyler Evans, Laura Vandervoort as Lisa, with Morena Baccarin as Anna and Scott Wolf as Chad Decker.

The series is produced by HDFilms in association with Warner Bros. Television. Scott Peters is executive producer/writer and Steve Pearlman and Jace Hall are executive producers. The pilot was directed and executive produced by Yves Simoneau.

"V" will air on ABC during the 2009-2010 midseason schedule.

Am sorry but this is going to fail harder than well anything but nice to see The 4400 dude again.

Great cast! Glad it got a pickup so the audience can make the call. I hate it when intriguing sounding shows never see the light of day.

But is the person third from left male or female? Is that supposed to be Elizabeth Mitchell's character's son? :wtf:

God, I wish this show was either on a cable network or in first-run syndication. On a broadcast network, it doesn't stand a chance in hell...

Nope. However it looks a lot better than Fast forward, that show looks dull and the acting looks horrible.

My question is, how does this show tie into the recent V the Second Generation novel?

From what I can judge from the trailer I saw on Youtube, this could be one of the more better of the new sc-fi seriesis that are now coming to TV:)
The special effects look pretty good and the cast seems solid enough, with some familiar faces from such shows as The 4400 and Firefly.
I will surely check it out:techman:

Male, but I did a double take too. I would have thought 'female', but the male physique gave him away. That's Logan Huffman. He looks like a more feminine version of Jerry O'Connell in that cast pic.

Yeah I thought, who Photoshopped a girl's head on a guy's body - weird! :wtf:

It is certainly a strangely altered photo. If that is Scott Wolf second from the right, he looks an awful lot like Michael J. Fox these days. And it appears that Laura Vandervoot is not there.

Not a regular, I guess. They have to have some characters they can kill and replace, and I'm sure the Visitors have plenty of blonde bimbettes they can trot out as needed.

Hmm, but that raises the issue that Alan Tudyk isn't there, either. Certainly hope he's in for the duration (assuming that good ratings might merit a pickup as a regular series.)

I thought it was Michael J. Fox too.

I wonder if Elizabeth Mitchell's character will get involved with Wolf's character. If so, it'll mean that Mitchell will have played the love interest of two Party of Five brothers.

^I did, too. That pic looks a LOT like Fox.

I might give this show one or two episodes. They'd really have to wow me to make me see past all the silliness that is inherent in the "V" premise.

I know absolutely NOTHING about V but just looking at the poster I guess Elizabeth Mitchell is going to be the star?

I fucking can't wait for this! Judging from the trailer, it looks so damn good! It's nice to see the 4400 dude again. How many episodes?

Morena Baccarin does an OK job channeling Diana from the original miniseries but the rest has fail written all over it. The promo image is awful. Wolf needs a tailor STAT. The bottom of the ship as a tv screen? Please. Another blond FBI woman? Isn't Hollywood passed that yet?
