The 31st Razzies Nominations

I'm quite glad I saw none of these films. There was a time when I thought I would watch one of those Twilight films, but would need to be really wasted first.

If films starring Jennifer Aniston, Ashton Kutcher and the lovelorn cast of Twilight left you dumbfounded, you are officially in good company. All are prominent contenders for the Razzie Awards, an annual competition honouring Hollywood's worst movies, actors and filmmakers, its organiser said on Monday.

Worst Picture Nominations
Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Sex and the City 2, The Last Airbender, The Bounty Hunter and Vampires Suck

I haven't seen any nominated movie - not difficult, considering there seem to only be about six of them, nominated for everything.

The only nominee I've seen is Jessica Alba in Machete and I have to admit, that, ahem, her acting skills weren't my focus of attention during her scenes.

Haven't seen the worst pictures but have seen Gulls Travels (worst actor, Jack Black), The Expendables (worst director, Stallone) and Grown Ups (worst supporting actor, Rob Schneider) are the only films I saw that are up for a gong.

From what I had heard about Yogi Bear and Little Fockers, I thought those would be in the "Worst Movie" short list. I haven't seen them myself, though.

I also haven't seen the ones that were nominated, although I am also a little surprised by the nomination of Eclipse, since the reviews suggested that it was a big improvement over the previous Twilight films. Also, The Bounty Hunter didn't look good, but not Worst-of-the-Year bad.

I didn't catch a single intriguing nomination in that mess, it all seemed like easy pickings.

The Razzies website itself might be nominated for most dated design for a current web page. That thing looks like Geocities material.

I can safely say that Sex and the City 2 deserved every single nomination. The only bright spot in that movie was seeing Alice Eve.

The Expendables (worst director, Stallone) .

Oh, didn't notice that in there. Well, in that case I've seen one nomination, and...

In what way was it worthy of "worst direction" - looked like a perfect recreation of 80s action epics to me, which is exactly what they were aiming for. I'd call that a success.

Well, out of the Razzie nominees, I've seen Jessica Alba (Worst Supportin' Actress) in Machete, The Expendables (Worst Director, Sylvestor Stallone) and Clash of the Titans (Worst Prequel, Sequel, Remake or Rip-Off), but at least that was on cable & not in theaters.

It'll be entertaining to see how Twilight fans react to this. (Actually, in all honestly, I don't know anyone who really gives a damn for those films.)

Gulliver's Travels I didn't even think was out yet. Must have come and gone really fast. All I know is I saw a novelization of the film for sale at Wal-Mart, and I was rather annoyed that nothing in the credits, etc. suggested this was based upon a famous novel by Jonathan Swift. Probably a good thing, in this case! ;)

Exactly. This movie was a recreation of Commando style movies and it was great at that.

I have to agree about all the nominations Clash Of The Titans, Twilight:Eclipse and The Last Airbender got. Those movies were beyond terrible.

Really? I Netflixed. I managed to get through about ten minutes. Just about the worst ten minutes of any film I've ever seen. And I've seen some doozies.

Gulliver came out at UK cinemas on, I think, Boxing Day, so I presume either it was out in the US beforehand, or being released in the UK is enough to qualify.

The Razzies, not unlike the Oscars they satirize, sometimes have a tendency to nominate (and award) based on a creator's rep more than the actual product on the screen.

Seems Megan Fox got nominated again..but will the award again robbed from her?;)
I think I have this Twilight film on DVD, still in plastic..maybe I should watch it:vulcan:..not(it was a gift, OK?!?:scream::p:lol:)
