I did pretty good considering I only saw The Dark Night and WALL*E out of all the nominees. :rommie:

Thanks, I am surprised more people didn't pick Slumdog for Best Picture, but I think that might be because it developed even more momentum after we were all making our predictions.

I was pretty happy with the winners, but I wish I'd picked Penelope for best Supporting Actress - she deserved it, and I really liked that movie.

Anyway, thanks for the fun.

I'm so glad I didnt waste my time watching it. I only wanted Mickey Rourke to win. I knew Ledger was going to get a sympathy oscar and Penn and Winslet both arent that deserving and neither was Slumdog millionaire. Thank goodness I had a good DVD to watch instead.

For what it's worth, I thought Rourke would win, but I thought Penn was probably equally deserving, and I'm very happy that Penn won, even if he can be overbearing. He did give a magnificent performance.

What was your pick for best picture, Lookingglassman?
