The 11 Doctors special! Look-alikes of Who?

So, let's say that there is a cool and awesome, awe inspiring and fantastic special done which involves all the 11 Docs battling a threat so monstrous that the fact they all converge in that timeline is necessary..

who could play the older incarnations, and what actors would do well?

Hartnell- (similar to what they did in the 5 doctors, that was brilliant!)
Troughton-
Pertwee-
Baker-( a young actor to portray Baker in his prime, no offense to him intended)
Davidson ( a young actor to portray Davidson in his prime, no offense to him intended)
Baker ( a young actor to portray Baker in his prime, no offense to him intended)

No need to recast..maybe..

Smith-as himself, the star of the special!

i am most interested to see who could play as dead ringers for the older docs.. especially the 4th, Tom Baker!

1. Whats with all the "no offense intended"? It's not like they'll be reading this or not understanding what you mean.

2. While it would be a little wierd to see others playing the roles of previous Doctors, there is a precedent and Hudnall did pretty good in the part. I have no objection to the idea of them doing something like this, because nuWho needs to have at least one multi-Doc story and Time Crash doesn't count. At least not until they give us a spliced together with the ep version. Until then, it's just a humours little gag.

3. Why do people assume Eccelston WOULDN'T do it? He's said he was proud of being the Doctor, it's a paycheck and a high profile gig on one of, if not the most popular show in Britain. He's not being asked to be the star of the show, just a guest star...and if they go the whole 11 doctors route, it's not like he'd have a whole lot of filming to do, and again, it's a paycheck and a high profile gig.

Unless, as it should be if they're doing all 11, the episode is a 2-3 parter. Although in my ideal world, the story would not be a one off thing, but a big part of that season's arc.

4. As for who could play the Doc's....dunno. Not familiar enough with the bulk of brit actors to name any. I do know that John Culshaw does an excellent Tom Baker tho:

Nobody. It's not just a matter of being a lookalike, it's what each actor brings to the Doctor. Watching someone try to imitate Troughton or Pertwee or Baker would be painful. The Five Doctors was OK at the time, as I'd barely seen any actual Hartnell, but no I find the first Doctor in that makes it painful to watch (which is not Richard Hurndall's fault - he does the best of a misguided idea).

What I would like to see, although it might turn out to be extremely difficult to pull off, would be a 11 Doctor special series.

One big story arc, each episode will be dedicated to one of the Doctors. The story will be one piece of the bigger puzzle until the finale where all the Doctors converge at a single point in time and space and every piece falls in place. The finale would be a two parter, so with eleven Doctors you get a whole 13 episode series.

I just don't see the point. What I like about (for example) the fifth Doctor is mostly Peter Davison's performance. Why, then, do I want to watch some other guy running around being the "fifth" Doctor? The joy of multi-Doctor episodes is seeing all favorites hanging out together. The OP's plan involves two of my favorites and nine mediocre impersonators hanging out together. Just what I've always wanted to see!

the only one i'd be okay with being played by another actor is One, with it being a younger First Doctor, from earlier in his life. The Four Doctors, One, Eight, Ten and Eleven. with a younger Susan.

We don't know how old the 8th Doctor looked at the time of his regeneration, so as long as Paul was willing the 8th could return.

Sylvester could pull it off too, especially if he wore his trademark hat.

I'm not big on re-casting.

Each of those actors, no matter their age, is The Doctor. I embrace each one, warts and all. Besides, Moffat has already covered that age thing with one line in Time Crash. No worries. But, the thrill of seeing all the Doctors one last time? My god.

I've always wanted:

• -A twenty-episode season of Doctor Who for the 50th Anniversary year

• -Hartnell, Troughton, and Pertwee each get a one-hour Avatar-level CGI story, with the best voice actors available. All three probably straight-to-DVD.

• -Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker (in an outfit of his choice!), Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Chris Eccleston, and David Tennant each get a two-part story, with Matt Smith bookending the entire season. Then, the four-hour/episode TV movie event (probably split into two nights), The Eleven Doctors, with Hartnell, Troughton, and Pertwee all having CGI cameos.

• -Matt Smith's Doctor is forced to sacrifice himself at the end of the special. Thus the 50th Anniversary welcomes the 12th Doctor!

BTW, I vote no to recasting. If they want to use Tom or Colin they should just have them appear as a hologram based on a digital image of their younger selves and have them voice it. The others are mostly ok, and if there is one doctor out of all of them who we are due some more screentime it has to be McGann. I really hope they get him involved in any planned multidoctor stories.

A little off subject but I always wondered why the BBC doesn't do more animated stories like what they did for Tennant's Infinite Quest or Troughton's missing episode or even the audio stories?

The best way to do an "all Doctors in" story would be to have a 10-episode arc, with each episode focusing on one of the past Doctors with a minor tie-together from 11. Then, bring them together for the finale in the 11th show. There are now so many Doctors that this would be the only way to prevent one or more past Doctors from being marginalized in a single special. This would also allow past companions to get more than a minute of screen time.
As for lookalike replacements, who knows. They could probably be found. I'd be for stunt casting by asking famous actors, who are fans of the show, to play their favorite deceased Doctor.
As for Tom B, Colin B and Peter, they should play themselves. They deserve the honor. Hey, it's science fiction, right? I'm sure there's some wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey way to pass off their aging.
