Christopher isn't the only one.
Unfortunately, I am such a "continuity pornographer" (thanks BB for that one) that to me, it all happened. However, I praise Mangels and Martin for rewriting the episode I wish had never happened, These Are the Voyages.... with the novel The Good That Men Do. However, if I could wipe any book from the face of continuity, it would be the entire Voyager relaunch prior to Full Circle. Every page, every line of dialogue was just SILLY. And the Voyager Gateways novel. The Q connection was one of the most absurd things I had ever read outside of a children's book. For this reason, I didn't even read the Dark Matters trilogy. And I have read every other TNG/DSN/VGR/ENT/NF novel published in the last 15 years.
But as I do try to temper my negative comments with something positive, Keith R.A. DeCandido may be the best thing that ever happened to continuity. The Lost Era novel Art of the Impossible may be the best bridge between generations ever published.

And re point 2, I would add an honorable mention to Christophers DTI as well !
The authors today really are great, but it's also nice that they're freed from the conventions of "Captain X fixes dispute on Planet Y and nothing important changes"

Enterprise lost a lot of viewers with A Night in Sickbay (including me)...after that piece of crap they never had higher than 6 million viewers again...It was the result of Hack writers who didn't understand the characters they were working with...

Announcing your ignore or your intent to ignore, is a form of trolling that serves no purpose to the discussion. Let's not do this in the future.
^And so, I would imagine, is making conjectural assertions about someone else's ignore settings. That's between me and my control panel.
Is it bad that I did do just that as soon as I read your post?
