TF2 Scout Update TODAY

At some point later today Valve is releasing the next class pack, this time for the Scout. They are also adding new maps.

So as of tomorrow, the Pyro, Heavy, Medic, and Scout classes will all be upgraded. I'm pretty sure I've heard that the Spy will be the next class update, whenever that will be.

Basically Egypt has a lot of dead ends and it's really easy to get lost even after playing it for awhile. Hopefully Valve updated it a little bit and included signs pointing to the right way to go.

I'm really not digging this pattern towards so many classes having crowd control. The new shotgun feels like they just didn't have any good ideas and defaulted to a 'knockback'. Scouts needed something to help them in close quarters, not something to make them more annoying in wide open areas..

Losing the double jump seems to be a decent trade off for that. They lose the mobility that is their primary advantage.

They can use their gun for an even more effective doublejump, so that doesn't really seem like a very good tradeoff.

The point still stands that scouts are pretty much useless in 'corridor' fights with just about any other class. Color me unimpressed.

And speaking of the comics, did they really hire Oeming and just move him to Seattle to do the comics? Jeez.

The scattergun is incredibly powerful in close quarters. You can two hit kill almost any class in the game with it.
