SPOILERS for everything up through "The Incident", and possible spoilers for Season 6:

http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2009/05/terry-oquinn-on-lockes-future.html

O'Quinn said he hasn't seen the finale and didn't know how the story was edited.

"Don't tell me," he joked. "I want to be surprised."

In the season cliffhanger, a bomb, which could prevent Flight 815 from ever crashing on the mysterious island, was detonated.

As for his character, O'Quinn says he's really gone. Locke's dead body was rolled out of a metal box toward the end of the two-hour episode, baffling islanders who had been following a Locke imposter. Exactly who is now occupying Locke's body wasn't revealed. O'Quinn said it would be "a good guess" to assume it's a man seen with the infamous Jacob in the beginning of the episode.

"I think, unfortunately, I think it's ended for Locke. But I'm still there, as far as I know," O'Quinn said. "I don't know how it's going to end for this other guy. I'm sad. I miss John Locke, poor guy. He was a pawn."

O'Quinn is gearing up to play a new character when the sixth season begins next year. As for the rest of the story line, he swears he has no idea.

"Your guess is honestly as good as mine is," he said. "There's going to be some confrontation that will somehow, I'm guessing, have to do with Jack or Locke or something like that. I think these guys are just setting up good and evil. It's the way Locke said in the very beginning of the show: One is light and one is dark. Two sides. I think that's what we've got."

A thought occurs about Terry's earlier comment about the "light & dark sides."

It is possible Jacob takes over Jack in some kind of non corporeal dealie, setting up a Jack/Locke good vs. evil show down?

I kind of like this idea that Locke was just a pawn of Jacob's friend, to ultimately be his loophole for getting to to Jacob.

I am sensing a good and evil thing here, kinda like the Prophets vs. Pah Wraiths

If we truly have seen the last of the real John Locke, just thinking about his life story makes me so sad. Watching "The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham" will be so heartbreaking.

I've never liked Locke. He was whiney and he was judgemental. I'm so glad he's not the 'savior' the first 4 season portrayed him to be.

all adults should be?

I don't think so.

No one should be. God said "judge not lest you be judged".

Like I mentioned in another thread, I like the idea of Locke being dead but Terry O'Quinn sticking around in another role and this situation reminds me of what happened on Oz.
Augustus Hill (Harold Perrineau) was killed at the end of season 5, but Harold Perrineau stuck around in season 6 to continue narrating (or setting up the narration) for each episode.

I wouldn't be a good parent if I wasn't judging who was and who wasn't okay to be around my kids. So yes, I do judge people.

Locke will be back. Terry whines about his character development every season, so they wouldn't do anything to piss him off.

I remember reading a mid-Season Two interview where he threatened to leave the show next year if they didn't make Locke be a mystical bad ass again instead of a button pusher.

As he says, though, he really has no idea where it's going. I'm still relatively sure that Locke'll be back in action before long.

Wow, that was a gutsy choice if they really killed Locke for good. Funny how Lost and another show both decided to piss off the fans something awful in their season finales by killing fan favorites in a permanent way but managing to keep the actor - I won't say which show since those who have been watching will know exactly what I mean and it's a spoiler for the rest of yall. ;)

It's interesting how you leave off the rest of that verse and take it out of context:

Let's look at the passage in its context:
MATTHEW 7:1-5:
"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull the mote out of thine eye; and behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast the mote out of thy brother's eye."
Clearly, it is hypocritical judgment that this Scripture condemns. (Look at verse 6, and 13-15 to see that Christ actually instructs them to make judgments!) A hypocritical judgment is judging something for something of which you are also guilty - LIKE TELLING ME NOT TO JUDGE WHEN YOU ARE JUDGING ME! This passage means the opposite of what hypocrites often interpret it to mean! Jesus' point is for hypocrites to pluck the beam of sin out of their own eye so that they can see clearly to cast the mote out of their neighbor's eye.

Let's look at some other Scriptures...

JOHN 7:14: "Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment."

LUKE 12:57: "Yea, and why not even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?"

PSALM 37:30: "The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment."

PROVERBS 31:9: "Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy."

LUKE 17:3: "Take heed... If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him."

Wow, I knew it sounded familiar but I totally put the other show to bed since the finale.

This is the first I've heard he's a whiner. That's too bad. He can go away now then.

How can anyone not like Locke? He spent his whole life with people around him constantly telling him he's special and it never got him a damn thing. We are John Locke. :)

What I really don't get is why the island and the smoke monster told Ben to listen to Locke. Shouldn't the island be neutral and not evil?
