News Terry Jones has passed away

While I loved his Python work, my kids were introduced to Jones through a documentary he presented titled "The Story of 1". It's a wonderful program about the development of numbers through human history, including the importance of the concept of zero. It mixes real history with his irreverent humor, making it a true pleasure to watch. And as the credits roll, one animated "1" tells another, "I preferred working with Eric idle."

Looks like that docu is all over youtube. I'm working from home tomorrow, so the perfect time to watch.

Just watched the whole thing (been years) and yep - it's still both informative and funny. Very few people were able to combine those two things together like Terry.

Terry Gilliam was on Graham Norton yesterday where he was wearing a "I'm not dead yet" t-shirt and paid further tribute to Terry Jones. I'd post a clip but the official YouTube channel doesn't have that one up.
