Back when JP was made Spielberg et. al. spent a good deal of time and money and resources on making the CGI dinosaurs in that movie.

You'd think now, 20 years later, that fantastic CGI would be economically feasible to use on a TV series. Apparently not.

'You're new. I didn't see you in last cycle's Terra Nova annual, so I would know this instead of assuming I just haven't seen you before given that this colony gets an occasional influx of residents and has a pretty large population."

Hell, there were better CGIs back in B5.

Also, I want to know who put in that petroglyph scene so I can hate on them. I wasn't planing to watch this show but now I am hooked.

So, a single petroglyph sold you on the show after an hour of bullshit?
I like stuff like that. One of the reasons why I loved Distant Origin so much while I hated the rest of Voyager.

No offense, but that seems like a small thing to go nuts over. Especially considering that Voyager episode was a big load of bull. But to each his own.

With all i've seen about the budget's for TV show's being super tight, this doesn't look that different.

I've always been interested in the possibility of pre-human intelligence. The idea that dinosaurs were around hundreds of millions of years more than humans and didn't develop intelligence is somewhat improbable.

Still, it doesn't cost money to make CGI look good. Personnel who can do it costs money, sure. But you'd think in this day and age after 20 years of CGI use in movies and a little less than that in TV use that the CGI in TV would look, you know, good.

Rather than like a cut scene from a mediocre video game.
