Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles Gen Discussion (PROBABLE SPOILERS)

Re: Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles Gen Discussion (PROBABLE SPOILE

Summer Glau is amazing... she easily makes the show. She may be learning... but she's still a killing machine. Just when you think she's having a Data like moment, she turns around in that bowling alley and just blows those guys away. The same with the guy in the library. He was just a resource... once he was gone she moved on to his replacement. She plays the machine incredibly well.
That's one possible interpretation of her relationship with Eric, but it is arguable - and the producers wanted exactly this, that the audience would argue about it (Zack Stentz wrote words to this effect on a TSCC message board). I know that the last scene of that episode has been taken as proof by many that Cameron was not sincere, but just the fact that she immediately moved on to make sure she could continue her nightly library visits doesn't prove she didn't care about Eric. She is a machine, and acts like one, but just a killing machine? That remains to be seen. Eric was a resource - but possibly also a friend. It's left ambiguous. I think that we will get more hints about what/who Cameron is exactly, one way or another, in the back 9.

I appreciate that not everyone can like every show, but with this show, I honestly wonder what people who complain about it really want. It really seems to be firing on all cylinders currently.
On the official FOX forums, quite a lot of people are complaining that it is too complicated, too slow, too little answers and too many sideplots and sidecharacters. I guess they want much more action, and a much faster pace, so more like T1 and T2. Nothing wrong with that, but a TV series requires a different approach.

And oh, many there really dislike Riley because they are dead set on a John-Cameron relationship...

Personally, I'm dead set on a Cameron-The Badger relationship:hugegrin:

Well, anyone who says it is too complicated is an idiot. Slow is subjective... I like the pace, I think its fine. Sure, its got a lot of balls in the air, but I expect them to sort them out in time. A 22 episode season is a complicated thing to get right. They can't blow their load ahead of time, but its a lot of television to put out every year. If the arcs were too short, it'd just feel like a few standalones, rather than an interwoven story.

A John-Cameron relationship is still unrealistic for a long time. She's not human enough yet. I can maybe see them sleeping together if he has a moment of weakness, but that would have a metric fuckton of fallout. I can't see them ever having enough episodes left to make that kind of relationship plausible.

Agreed.
