My point was, even skipping the time travel, things seem so diluted now, the details and dates don't seem to mesh. I suppose someone who knows what they were doing could have the sixth movie (or the fifth) end in such a way that it does mesh with the others.

I enjoyed Marcus and Sam Worthington...after viewing the movie a second time. I wasn't such a fan the first time off. As long as they stay away from McG's pitch to go back in time and concentrate on ending the war with the machines I'm game. They still need to send Kyle back in time. The story is not complete.

I enjoyed Salvation and I'd like to see a continuation of that story. Marcus could come back as another Terminator, good or evil.

I agree. I really liked Salvation it really had a realistic gritty hopeless post apocalyptic feel to the movie and they should just continue on from there.

here';s what i want... Timecode meets the current season of lost.

Actually showing the various timelines playing out towards judgement day across the decades from 1984 with the screen splitting into another fraction every time someone else travels back in time splitting reality.

Of course that means that there was a timeline in play where Kyle didn't arrive to 'save" sarah frmothe terminator.

And of course a completely naked timeline where there is no timetravel.

While I'd be interested in seeing a continuation, the rumors circulating from people I used to speak with in the production suggests that - if the movie series does continue - they're remaking T1 with the dates changed to coincide with today.

Then again it's just a rumor.

Why would you remake what is pretty much perfection? It doesn't compute.

It's been done before, why would they stop from doing it again? It's all the rage these days to do a remake/re-imagining/reboot.

A remake of The Terminator will never happen. I sent a cyborg back in time to kill the executive that came up with the idea before he was even born.

Seriously, although it's rare that I agree with 3D Master, The Terminator is one of the most perfect movies ever made. I believe that it is a sacred, untouchable piece of cinema history, like Back to the Future or Casablanca.

I always thought that Terminator Salvation would have been better if it had basically kept the same theme of all the other terminators. Meaning...Kyle Resse should have been the Termination Target of Skynet. He should have been alot like his mute kid partner in that he didnt have a clue to what was really going on. Then John Connor and his group figure this out and go after finding him to save himself. Because if the Terminators get to Kyle and kill him, well then John would never be born. Thus we could have the same type of chase film that Terminator has become known for but still have it set in the future war. John connor could have even sent Marcus Wright out ahead to protect him as the good terminator.
Would have been a much better film IMHO...
