During production of T4 (this has been brewing since before T4 even made it to theatres) Sony offered 25 million to obtain the rights before it went to auction. Wonder how much they'll end up paying - most likely they 25 million will still be on the table.Media Rights Capital (Producers of Borat/Bruno)
Oy!
Platinum Equity (Mostly known for auto parts)
Er... Ok.
Sony Pictures (Producers of well many, many things)
Summit Entertainment (Producers of Twilight)
These are probably the better of the options.
Edit: wait, Whedon actually wrote that? I know he's kidding, but even from a humorous perspective, there's nothing funny or original there. Lame.
cough, pre-existing, larger post right here, cough.I love Joss, but the Terminator franchise is so played out by now, I'm not even sure James Cameron could breathe new life into it.
Good God......"Terminator of the Rings"??? Let's hope that's just a joke.
Of course it was a joke. How could you think otherwise?
Well if things were different and the Sarah Connor Chronicles were included, I reckon nx1701g should have a go!![]()
Sweet. I'm getting the rights to Terminator Cereal!
I also think of Joss Whedon's assassination of the Alien franchise, which even he daren't joke about in this context, yet I disgress. Alien, like Terminator, is a movie I never really felt should have a franchise - a sequel maybe, but that's it. This is even more true for Terminator as I've never been of the opinion there's any flexibility in this premise - you have pretty much one story to tell regardless of the variations, and any new reboot is just going to tell that story again.
Me and my 2 friends makes the 6 of us.I've said it before, I'll say it again:
I really enjoyed Terminator Salvation.
As did my two friends I went to see it with. And we rarely, if ever, agree on movies. But it looks like we're the only 3 people in the world who liked this one. Oh well.
