Grade 215 "Desert Cantos"

One things that worries me: it seems odd that, while making Summer Glau the centerpiece of the show's promotional campaign, she's been given very little to do ever since the show resumed in its new time slot. No offense to Sarah Connor, but if you're going to sell the show as the "sexy female Terminator" show, you need to deliver if you want to keep the viewers attracted by those ads.

average
sorta boring till the last 15 minutes. things definitely got interesting then to say the least. otherwise, meh. looking forward to next week.

anyways, does anyone out there know if Summer Glau had any reason to be in Philly last weekend? I absolutely could have sworn I saw her at local burn warehouse party. This dame looked EXACTLY like her, and when she busted out some ballet shite in her dance moves, I really got to thinking. anyone?

Didn't they establish in T3 that General Brewster's Skynet group designed and built the HK's? Oh, wait a minute, I say that like anything that happens in this show means anything.

^ I'm afraid I have to agree. It's starting to become more and more like Smallville I'm afraid. Like Smallville we need to have more mythology episodes!

Well, much like Smallville, they sure like to use the same outdoor set over and over again. :p

Okies, how many of those HKs has Derek put down? Hundreds? And certainly much much more advanced models than that that he'd be laughing his ass off thinking that this thing thought it was a threat once he got his kit in line for a good frakking. meanwhile um? these early models Cameron should be able to talk to till they stand down, either because they have dog like AI or they ain't AI enough not to resist what ever prefix commands their human overmasters were using that she might have on file if she wasn't given 5 minutes to figure it out like in how krk turned off the Reliants shields.

Zoey was delicious.

Good good, John has never gotten close to... Summer looked old this week. I didn't see a little school girl for once, I saw a lady in her early thirtys trying to dress like the skanks cruising the outlet mall. She dresses like Debbie Gibson.

This show is only counting the first 2 films, not T3.

And only aspects of T3 are even being honored in Terminator Salvation. They are the fact that Judgment Day happened and the character of Kate Connor.

They're rumors going around they've changed the history that Skynet isn't a supercomputer and is actually a group of humans.

I also gather from this episode that the man who shot Sarah earlier is not dead?

He's dead. It's Zoe's dad that isn't dead.

I think an S3 is quite possible (we'll see what the Nielsen numbers are for the Friday slot, first), in which case a season-long arc doesn't bother me all that much.

I thought she looked like a sexy woman in her mid/late 20s. I've never really bought the Cameron-is-high-school-aged thing, as Summer Glau looks her actual age (just as Thomas Dekker looks like he's in his early 20s and not 16). I don't mind suspending my disbelief, though, especially since Summer's so yummy.

The last 5 minutes were interesting. The first 55 were not.

What happened to this show? I used to love it. Now I don't care if it gets cancelled.

^ You're going to be VERY happy then.

Savannah Weaver will be in all of the upcoming episodes through at least Today is the Day.

^ Thought it'd make you happy.

In two weeks we get a Cameron centric episode.

And Manson isn't much better, even though I think she's a groovy chick.

Actually, I think Manson's neophyte acting skills make the character. Weaver is a T-1000 that eerily and imperfectly copies human emotions. Manson captures this unnerving quality well. Maybe that's because she can't act...or maybe it's because she's acting well.

I guess I just feel like we need a stronger main antagonist, especially since the arrival of Skynet and Judgment Day are largely elusive from the perspective of what we are likely to ever see during the course of this series.
