I by no means intended to divulge any spoilers. The trailer for next week said that one of the characters dies, and my guess was Cromartie and I may be dead wrong. I have no inside info or anything I'm just a fan who watched th episode and the trailer. I don't feel that my behavior is any different than any one else in these discussion threads. If I offend I apologize.

A very classy post, sir. Especially considering that you didn't do anything wrong. I just misunderstood. I greatly appreciate the effort. :)

Think nothing of it. All water under the bridge. :techman:

Cam is still a terminator to the core.

More of this will come in episode 10.
Care to give some more info about this (under code, of course).
I know that
Cameron is supposed to be having some kind of secret "nightlife", but this could go in all kinds of different directions, even as pure comic relief, with the little info I've seen. Do you know more, NX1701?

Is your sister OK now, by the way?

I don't mind John being EMO. He still has a lot to learn, a lot to lose, and by god he has to get out from under his mothers wing. She babies him, and it'd no wonder he acts like a child. He struggling to gain his freedom, he doesn't know how, and the only future for him is what everyone tells him its going to be. I kinda feel sorry for the kid.

I really enjoyed that ep. Cameron killed those kids to protect the Connors, Sarah let the one go free out of compassion and because of it the kid will be tortured, murdered at the very least, and Cromartie now knows where they live. Did Sarah do the right thing? Did Cameron? Who ultimately decides? I like how they bring religion and belief into the show. It's all woven together really well.

T2 John had a more independent streak and took an active role in what his mother and the Terminator were doing. In this show though, he's a completely whining wimp.

But even when Sarah was with him, John didn't suffer. I wish James Cameron had kept in that scene where he convinces her not to destroy Arnold's chip.

The opening scene with Ellison was awesome. I was sure it was a dream sequence but it was a hell of a way to start it. Cromartie (is that still his name?) was super creepy but again, awesome. The casting on this show, from the main cast to the recurring characters to the bit players remains among the best on television. .
Anyone thinks it may be possible that Cromartie, in this scene, was not the T888 we know and love, but it was the T1001 impersonating him (impersonating Laszlo in turn)? The weapon used to kill the Ellison T888 did seem like something the T1000 would use - she could form it from her own body, and it would have all the incredible properties from the liquid metal, capable of punching through the T888's armor. Weaver also seemed to be very much on top of things; she knew a Terminator was involved and her comments at the end about Job (which could be interpreted as a subtle threat to Ellison's loved ones) sounded like she may have been testing him, for some purpose. I do think Ellison is getting very suspicious; he didn't tell her everything about what had happened.

Let me just say that any sympathy I had for John after the last episode is gone. I have ZERO sympathy. He is nothing more than a whining, emo-brat and the fact that he would conceal from Sarah that Cromartie visited is inexcuseable. The fact that he risks his safety and his families safety because he doesn't want to move again is the height of selfishness.
He may have another reason for not telling Sarah, though. If he did, he would have to admit about Cameron's "little glitch" in "Allison of Palmdale", which allowed Chromartie to find the house. And he wants to protect Cameron from Derek and/or Sarah getting the idea that keeping her around is too big a risk. For that matter, I think his outburst at Cameron was fuelled partly by him knowing that Cameron was a bigger security risk, in this case, than Riley. Cameron's glitch led Chromartie to him, but he can't tell that in Sarah's hearing so he resorts to "you tried to kill me".

I think John is way out of line blaming Sarah for Calrissian, though. The guy deserved to die anyway. OTOH, Sarah should have allowed him to see Riley, so no secrecy was needed. Completely isolating John is not the smart way to go either, especially if they don't want him to rely on Cameron for company.

It's in the extended version, which was/is available commercially so it's part of the official universe, I suppose.

That's something I hadn't considered, and a very good idea. I maintain that it was Cromartie however. He (Cromartie) seems to be keeping a very watchful eye on Ellison lately. Also that means that Weaver would have needed to "touch" Cromartie to mimic him and I'm not sure the two have ever come in contact.

I'm not sure of that either - she definitely touched him in this episode though (the detective shaking Ellison's hand when he got released), so from now on she can mimic him, if she couldn't before.

It's possible Cromartie has been watching Ellison for some possible clue for the Connors, but he was on the road a lot this episode, so he certainly doesn't watch Ellison all the time.

^ We may never know. Well I really actually think we'll find out next week. This episode seemed to be a buildup rather than anything else.

Finally watched this episode last night and rated it Above Average. I've said it before, Cromartie is watching Ellison as he (Cromartie) believes Ellison will lead him to the Connors.

Every time Cromartie forces a smile I giggle a bit. He's a real hoot as a protagonist.

Agreed. I'm glad to see the show is fleshing out the Terminators a bit more than the films could. For me, watching Cromartie relentlessly hunt down the Connors is far more interesting than watching John's development and relationship with his mom, Cameron, Riley, etc...

My recommendations for the show. More screentime for Cromartie, Ellison, Weaver, and Derek. Cameron's still her badass self and interesting so keep her around. Send Sarah and John on a much needed vacation for a few episodes until the writers can figure out what to do with them.

I've said it before but John and Sarah are the two weakest characters on the show.

So, TSCC will move to 8pm Friday in February. Since Fox is putting the show in the death slot, it looks like Season 2 will be the final season. :(

I really liked this episode. In fact the scenes with John were the best and emotionally charged scenes of the series. I loved the way he just dropped the drill and talked about how Cameron had actually tried to kill him. I wasn't impresssed by Sarah so much.

Cromartie is growing on me more and more. I hope they keep him on the show as he is probably one of the few T-888s who can play a Terminator well.
