I know but seriously they're really going overboard with this stuff, it's starting to remind me of that whole deal where blacks got killed in scary movies.

Is it too much to ask for, asking for an asian actor who isn't a BAD person and won't get killed, oh and doesn't have a gambling problem

Re: Terminator 206 "The Tower is Tall but the Fall is Short" - Thread<

So, here's an interesting question: Why did Skynet set a terminator back for the therapist? Considering that Weaver has used him to help improve her cover, and is recruiting him to help raise the Turk, one would think he's one of Skynet's opposite-of-foes like Andy Goode and Vick's wife.

I'm suspecting that Weaver may not be working for Skynet after all, and all those fanon theories about the T-1000 being made too powerful for Skynet's own good have actually come to something.

i agree. The turk to may be kind of an anti-skynet. A machine that like skynet achieves sentience, but can make decisions based on more than just logic. Maybe what Cameron said about a factor of machine wanting peice has some truth to it.

Well I still like the show but they need to stop the whole "random people from the future comes here"

It's starting to remind me of that South Park episode where people from the future came here for jobs.

Oh and don't get me started on the asian killing spree. Just whatthe hell is up with that. she got killed in her second scene WTF!!

Oh and not to mention that the Asian in Prison Break ALSO GOT KILLED !!!!!!!!!!

it's the suits monkeying with the show that's getting us terminators of the day (grinds my gears that this one can self-terminate means were in for ALOT of metal) the name of the SP episode is "Goobacks"

All we need is the humans declaring that the machines "took our joooooooobs!!!"

Next episode like 100 resistance fighters can come and look for jobs

There looking in the wrong era. The probably more jobs from the era they come from. Anybody can join tech-com. I sure hope they aren't planning on buying a house. Maybe John Connor can get a bail out from the curent government to buy some more military supplies.....

Re: Terminator 206 "The Tower is Tall but the Fall is Short" - Thread<

Well, remember, it's still december of last year in TSCC. They have time.

Re: Terminator 206 "The Tower is Tall but the Fall is Short" - Thread<

Silly theory - the T-1000s are like the Six Cylons of BSG - they just want to get along with the humans.

No - T-1000 Series Terminators are advanced infiltrators (in a way like Six), but they don't usually want to get along with humans. Typically they want to terminate them.
Well, typically 6s also don't get along with humans (they did play a large part in the massacre of Colonial forces, with the virus), and until recently they typically wanted to kill humans (with a brief period of exception).

Leaving BSG aside, this was a really good episode again. Loved the show contrasting selt-terminating Terminators with suicidal humans, and psychological problems for both Weaver's daughter and the (probable) proto-Skynet. Lots of ncie touches, and lots of possibilities are opened up (Jesse, the psychologist, the Turk's development) or remain open (the T1001's intentions, Cameron - loved it when she was reading the suicide prevention pamphlet again, with the Terminator chip in her hand). Can't wait for the next one (but that will be 2 weeks).

above average
i definitely think season 2 has been getting way better the last couple eps and my faith in this show is slowly being restored. i really dug this episode. i really liked all the plot heavy stuff this week. they need to keep that going. too bad it's not on next week. at least the rest of the season got picked up, so we should be able to get some closure if it gets the ax. i am happy.

Maybe his work with the AI would be harmful in some way - maybe end up imbuing it with some sort of conscience protocol that would inhibit/delay the development of the ruthless version we all know and fear that is Skynet.

Cameron did theorize at the end of the episode that he may make Skynet weaker... I suppose anything is possible.

Which is really unusual since they were in February 2008 during the season finale.

When in the episode was that? I'm willing to bet it was a writer's goof. So far this season, events have been fairly consistently in late 2007 (except for the baby birth date typo).

Re: Terminator 206 "The Tower is Tall but the Fall is Short" - Thread<

^ John Connor's Birthday is in February. They were planning to go to the prom (proms usually happen in April/May) in the season finale.

Hmm...so maybe there was a large between-episodes time jump earlier this season? I'm not sweatin' it. :)

Re: Terminator 206 "The Tower is Tall but the Fall is Short" - Thread<

^ It would have had to be a reverse jump. They arrived in September/October 2007 in the pilot.

Maybe it was a winter formal. :p Between the order in which scripts were delivered, the production order, and the air order--not to mention the torturous convolutions of the Terminator storyline--I'm not in the least surprised by something like this.

Re: Terminator 206 "The Tower is Tall but the Fall is Short" - Thread<

I'm in a minority that thinks they're in 2008 and they use the previous year as a sort of backup code.

Re: Terminator 206 "The Tower is Tall but the Fall is Short" - Thread<

People, in the pilot when they land there's traffic road sign talky digital bullshit clearly stating it's 2008.
