I voted Excellent. Best performance yet from Shirley Manson, who seems to be getting into her role nicely. The usual awesome work from BAG and I think John and Sarah were handled pretty good here. I liked the guy who played the shrink too. Nice to see Major Shaw, Stephanie Jacobsen again and she is smoking hot. Really, the work done by the supporting and guest cast remains a highlight of this show.

Terminator chick fight was awesome. Loved when Cameron just dropped the body on the floor.

So, here's an interesting question: Why did Skynet set a terminator back for the therapist? Considering that Weaver has used him to help improve her cover, and is recruiting him to help raise the Turk, one would think he's one of Skynet's opposite-of-foes like Andy Goode and Vick's wife.

I'm suspecting that Weaver may not be working for Skynet after all, and all those fanon theories about the T-1000 being made too powerful for Skynet's own good have actually come to something.

- Good elevator fite. Funny too the way they had to stop fighting. Why did they do that anyway? They're machines with a mission. They aren't supposed to care about propper behavior or keeping up appearances. Cameron maybe, but not the other one.

- The other female terminator really did look like a machine. She looked and acted like a moving mannequin.

- By the way, did I mention that I rolled my eyes at the idea of an episode about therapy? I mean who would have thought that we'd one day see "Terminator" where Sarah and John go to a shrink to talk about their issues? It all worked out though.

- I forgot that John can't run into Shirley Manson, otherwise she'll teminate him on the spot.

- AWOL via time travel? Not a bad idea, though I wonder why she didn't go back further than 3 years before Judgement Day.

There's meaty and then there's fat.

Not that blondie is "fat",exactly, but just a little on the otherside of what I like.

To each their own.

They're slaves to their infiltration programming on TSCC unless they're pursuing their primary objective. Fighting Cameron probably wasn't her objective in the past.

Even more so with the scene in the Connor's house.

Not necessarily. Remember in Season One's Gnothi Seauton Cameron said that a Terminator would walk right past John because there was no active directive to hunt him. The priority override only seems to go into effect when they hear 'John Connor'. They don't even seem to know what he looks like.

- AWOL via time travel? Not a bad idea, though I wonder why she didn't go back further than 3 years before Judgement Day.

Remember that Jesse had collected pictures of both Derek and John (similar to what Derek was doing when he set up the Safe House). I don't think that she's AWOL, I think that she's on a mission of her own. I really think that she's defected.

Maybe she was sent to protect him. It was said that his secretary had quit (maybe she was dead) and they didn't anticipate Cameron.

Though why would it continue to research Turk and not simply replace Skynet? Rogue Terminators prior had wanted Skynet destroyed. Just wanted to say though that's not a fanon thing. It comes from the T2 novelization and several of the comics and continuation novels that Skynet was afraid of the T-1000 series - so much so that the T-800s in the field would attack T-1000s.

Recreation time travel and random minor-threat terminators of the week are really hurting this show. Is it true the suits up top wanted to make this show more episodic?

Yes. They also insisted upon Riley's introduction.

so Lego is doing product placement now?

Re: Terminator 206 "The Tower is Tall but the Fall is Short" - Thread<

Lego Terminator. No one will see that threat coming... and it'll coincide with the video game Lego Terminator!

i'd knife my own mother for a decent sized Lego hunter/killer tank

One unanswered question from the episode:

What was the actual mission of the female terminator? Was she there to kill the therapist, or John? Or was it something else? It's really hard to know, although the fact that she killed the therapist's secretary makes me wonder if he wasn't the target somehow.

Re: Terminator 206 "The Tower is Tall but the Fall is Short" - Thread<

probably a protector, since the good doctor plays a part in SKYnet's genesis

Re: Terminator 206 "The Tower is Tall but the Fall is Short" - Thread<

Silly theory - the T-1000s are like the Six Cylons of BSG - they just want to get along with the humans.

Re: Terminator 206 "The Tower is Tall but the Fall is Short" - Thread<

So does the T-1000 need the therapist to make her a super duper Viper that she can put the AI into?
