terminator 2
I think this is a great film one of the best actualy
for sci fi the first one was pretty cool.
havent seen the third one.

They also made a fourth movie with Christian Bale as John Connor.

2 seasons of a tv show with The Brotherf###er from Game of Thrones as Sarah Connor.

A new trilogy of Movies is almost upon us staring the blond girl from Game of Thrones as young Sarah Connor.

There's also been a wealth of comics and novels on the subject.

You're letting the side down.

I really loved the Sarah Connor Chronicles tv series. It's a direct sequel to T2, thru time travel they retcon out T3 from SCC continuity.
T4 continues on from T3 for what it's worth.

T4 is worth shit.

Young Kyle Reese laying snare traps using the remnants of a wreckers yard to catch 4 story tall mech's by the ankle was alarmingly entertaining but that's it. The other 2 hours were filthy a waste of my time.

No offense intended towards the OP, but I hate Terminator 2. Poorly written, poorly acted. Most of all I hated Ed Furlong's portrayal of John Conner and the entire effort to have cute bonding moments between him and Arnie. The only thing I can compliment about the movie is the advances in special effects it displayed. I know my opinion of this movie is in the minority but nothing can get me to like this movie.

I agree it is badly written and acted, I find it horribly sentimental too. But as well as the special effects, the action set pieces are pretty astounding too. It's worth watching just for the stunts.

Badly acted? Schwarzenegger should have got an Oscar. The man was born to play a robot.

And setting story and acting aside. It is one hell of an action film.

This film's got the coolest villain ever. He's so flipping awesome, in fact, that they copy-pasted him for the new flick starring Daenerys Targaryen and that dude from Planet of the Apes!

No-one knock the T-1000. He was actually my first psychopathic movie villain crush when I was a kid. :p I watch just for his scenes. He rocks so hard. :)

I imitate him at work at least twice a month. (Just the chasing scene where he begins to pursue John in the garage and the street.) But first I make sure the 300 feet in front of me is as clear as possible, and I slow down slightly just before I reach the wall.

You are made of awesome and have won an internet for your troubles. Thank you.

His cameo in Wayne's World was so alarming that I screamed in terror in a theatre despite being surrounded by hundreds of judgy people.

When I was a kid, I thought the T-1000 was the best thing ever. The fact that his muscles were much less ballooned than Arnold's made him all the more menacing, in my opinion. Also, he was cute, and as an eight-year-old, that mattered to me. :p

I love Terminator 2. I'm also a big fan of the TV series, or as I call it - "Catherine Weaver: The Terminator Chronicles".

I recently read a Terminator comic from the 80s. After Judgement Day, Skynet sends a Terminator into deepest darkest Africa to undertake a mission of some sort where they run across a tribe of African Bushmen who have barely ever seen white culture or white people and it might as well be 6 bc as far as they are concerned. Humorously the only way that they eventually win their fight with the Terminator by learning how to use dynamite from reading/observing the actions in a Bugs Bunny comic book.

Wow! "Out of Africa II"
Let that be an example to all who read it, Bugs Bunny stories should be part of "The Great Book".
T4 was shitty, but it had a few moments.

T2 was very good, but if you know about the "guerrilla filming" (additional features CD) they were forced to do in the making of T1, it just makes it all the better a story and movie than II or any of the others. Could not get myself to watch any of the TV incarnations.

Also from these comics, there's a thriving colony of humans on the moon. But every now and then they have to sneak down to earth in a cloaked shuttle and and load up on resources that they can't fabricate on Luna. Skynet gets in a lucky shot and the cloaked shuttle crashes, so in the aftermath of this, moon men are sneaking around trying to find spare parts to fix their ship while trying not to give Skynet any reason to target Earth's remaining nukes at their home in space.

(Published by Now Comics 1988 -1990.)

The script for T2 has a lot of problems for me. I'm not really sure I buy Sarah's "transformation" into the thing she hates, when she tries to terminate the inventor of SkyNet, for one thing. It seemed unnatural and forced, just to make an unnecessary point. Arnie talks entirely too much in this movie. When John Conner called for help and the Terminator was about to kill the guy who came over, that moment had some genuine tension and potential.

Everything else in this movie was just action set-ups, where you kind of knew they would either get away, or what was going to happen next. It lacked the killer instinct of the first Terminator, where Arnie's not screwing around. You're going to get killed, it's that simple. It made the first one much more exciting, despite its budgetary limitations and datedness. But even the datedness works, because it's time travel, specifically to that era. I don't know, T2's very slick and polished and I do like that. But it seems less urgent in its attack and less sincere in its intentions. It's just there to cash in on the first and that's it.
