Here's hoping Big Jim puts the T-800 CPU unlocking scene back in where it belongs, as well as the post-freezing T-1000 ripples! (But leaves the Dyson Sea World talk and Dream Reese out.)

Earlier this year, there was chatter that strong Chinese box office for A Good Day to Terminator Hard might actually cause a sequel to be greenlit, but this is a far better result.

Hopefully this means a newly remastered 2D Blu-ray as well. Seeing as they'll be re-scanning it/cleaning it up anyway, I'd say chances are good. Now where's The Abyss and True Lies on Blu, goddammit?!

There are two factors at play: One, Cameron insists on personally supervising the Blu-ray masters of his movies (like he did with the first two Terminator films and Titanic), and earlier this year, and according to The Digital Bits, Cameron and Fox Home Entertainment are embroiled in some sort of dispute, which is holding up those two movies.

I might have to check this out. I was too young to see T2 when it originally came out, so I've only seen it on DVD.
