I hope there's some sort of backstory for the Doctor to be there, and something to proceed the next episode of Doctor Who.

I can't see the Doctor being in an episode of SJA WITHOUT being a main character, or even taking the centre stage.

I dont know, I think the way the specials are (not running the story one into another) the Doctor can pretty much turn up whenever he wants on SJA, and it not be a problem.

Im sure he will have a big part of the episode, and im sure his presence will be explained.
