Something that has plagued me for as long as I can remember.

What were those black pyramid things on the tables in Ten forward? They looked like a glass ornament with an LCD clock in the base. There were also four pointed 'directional' controls.

They were probably just there to look cool, but was there a purpose?

What puzzles me is that I never noticed them at all.

I had a Seiko talking clock in the early 80s, and although it was smaller, those tabletop props reminded me of it. I hadn't thought about it for a long time. It actually worked pretty well, and people visiting my apartment were fascinated by it. I just did a search, and found a cool video of it. I wonder if I still have it somewhere? Here it is:

Did anyone notice the name of the company that produced that game in the 80's? The company was called Bandai...as in Bandai syndrome :lol:
