Temperature differences in your area?

JesterFace

The weather topic made me wonder, how much does the temperature change between seasons in your area?

Central Finland says:
In winter -30C / -22F is possible, perhaps even a little bit colder....
However, in summer 30C / 86F in possible, maybe even a little bit more.

So that's -30C to 30C or -22F to 14F at different times of the year.

Can get as high as 40C in the summer, and -30C in the winter here. And that's not even counting the day to day swings.

The lowest temperature ever in my city was -2.8C (27F) the highest ever was 41.8C (107C)

However usually in summer our average maximum temperatures are between 17C to 23C and in winter the average minimum temperature is between 3C to 11C.

In Saint Louis, it can routinely get as high as 108F (42C) during the summer and as low as -5F (-21C) during the winter. It is also not uncommon to have a ridiculous swing in temperatures within a 24-hour period (to need almost arctic gear one day and then be able to wear shorts and a tank top the next). Sometimes even the local plants and animals get confused.

We were near 105 one year…and 5 above this past Christmas.

Vernon (Alabama’s Dunwich) and Valley Head our cold spots.
