I can totally see Q dropping in on Picard to check in on him but not for the mischief he used to be known for. Occasional visits to talk to Picard about whatever he's up to.

I notice that there is a Short Trek titled 'Q and A', and we know that one of the shorts is based on Picard. Could it be Q and Picard talking about everything that has gone on in his life between Nemesis and Picard, like a Question and Answer session?! We've had Q Who? Deja Q etc.... fits the pattern!

Ah ok, well then it's the first Trek title with an individual 'Q' in it that doesn't contain the character I believe. Unless the turbo lift episode is called 'Don't Ask'?

If this is Picard's last hurrah, he surely has to be in it. Though I like to imagine it would be the final series to tie up the end of TNG.

Q used to be a high concept.. for like one half of an episode (the first one) and then he became comic relief, not bad comic relief mind you but very little more. His taunting of Picard toward the end of the episode was already a bit childish for example.

Maybe in the very last scene, Q appears and shouts "NO! NO! This isn't right. Let's try it one more time....".

Q should definitely be in the series. After all "the trial is still continuing"
