Tell us about your presents!

The one present I got early was my iPod Touch. Which, just to be a douchebag (mainly to those in the room with me), I'm using to post right now.

I didn't get my 2 gifts yet, but I did pick them out. But I'm old fashioned and going to wait till Christmas Eve/Day to talk about them.

I'm such a tease...

I'll tell-

They're pink and they have lace.

I got exactly what I wanted for Christmas- my Baby Girl is not diabetic and I'm thankful for that. I really don't need anything other than that.

This was my big, early present:

I got it a month early!

Other than that, my mom picked out a few things from my wish list to open on Christmas Day- cross stitching and beading stuff, computer accessories, and a new purse that I picked out.

I did buy myself the first 4 seasons of Lost the other day, and I justified it by calling it a Christmas present to myself.

An older couple at the church I'm the organist for handed me a card after worship last Sunday. They wrote inside how much they appreciate having me play. And they had a nice, crisp, new $20 in there for me.

I have a student who can bake. To a fault. I got my annual Christmas present from her this morning -- a giant box full of holiday treats and goodies. And, because they're soooo good and the box has sooooo many treats, I shared with people, so a gift can give to lots.

We're also trying to teach our daughter a bit about selflessness. She donated $50 in our name to the local Humane Society. Although she doesn't quite realize what happened, nor does she have money yet (we'll charge her interest on the loan), the Humane Society rep was in tears to get our donation.

Three gifts so far, and all three are outstanding. Merry Christmas.

Not sure, but I believe I'll be receiving a new, widescreen computer monitor. My parents agreed to buy it, and I told my dad I trusted him to figure out what would be a good one. I trust him; I'm sure it'll come out fine, assuming he finds one that's decently priced for the size.

What I got for my parents...

For my dad, the When We Left Earth DVD series.

For my mom, the David Cook CD, a small Yankee Candle, a candleholder, and a candle snuffer. (Sounds like more, but it adds up to about the same value as the DVD set.)

A friend of mine got me a bottle of my favorite gin, Tanqueray, a new martini glass, and a bottle of olives. :D I already have vermouth.

I am getting the new GnR CD off my sister, and a new pair of running shoes off my parents. There will probably be a few little surprise pressies as well, socks and the like :D

Then, make it so. You could, in lieu of gifts, make a donation to a meaningful charity on someone's behalf, maybe a homeless shelter or a food bank.
Aside from my Mother, Niece and Nephew, everybody gets a donation to Save The Children from me.

Although she doesn't quite realize what happened, nor does she have money yet (we'll charge her interest on the loan)
You're a Congressman, aren't you? :rommie:

I'm not entirely sure what I've got, but I've got a pretty good guess. One of the things I requested was some new socks and technical shirts to run in. A few days later, both my mom and my dad call asking what size of clothing I wear.

As for my family, I got my sister the first two Twilight books, my brother the animated Star Wars Clone Wars movie, my mom Lost season 4 (it just wouldn't be Christmas without mom getting lost!), and my dad a bike computer.

I've just finished putting together my mother in law's Christmas present. We helped her buy some household stuff earlier this month, but to open on Christmas morning I've put together a photo album/scrap book for her. It's photos of the family over the last few years and lots of them have been run through Photoshop to add embelishments. I'm really looking forward to her opening it, and I hope she likes it as it took me weeks to put together.

It probably doesn't really count but several weeks ago, my parents went out to this Lion's Club party and got a couple of gift cards. One was for Olive Garden. But there isn't one anywhere near here. So they gave it to me since I'm going back to DC next month and there are certainly several Olive Garden locations down there.
