Television Specials With Lots of Star Trek Clips?

Dayton3

Admiral
Can anyone think of all the television specials on things like the Science Channel or History Channel that have included a number of clips from Star Trek in them?

I remember a couple.

A special called "The Science of Star Trek" was naturally filled with Trek clips.

Another show about computer generated imagery likewise had several.

And IIRC, a television special about future energy sources had a number of Star Trek clips (referencing antimatter of course).

Anyone else familiar with stuff like this?

"Leonard Nimoy's Star Trek Memories" (pre TNG).

"The Star Trek Saga: From One Generation to the Next" (narrated by Patrick Stewart, included premiere screening of "The Cage" and introduced Season Two of TNG).

But these weren't from a science angle.

Are either of those available on video or DVD.

I also remember Jonathan Frakes hosting a special full of clips just before "All Good Things" aired.

^ The video you mention is "Star Trek: Journey's End," and I believe you can usually find it on ebay.

I've been really surprised the Sci-Fi Channel or someone hasn't had some kind of promotional show for the new movie.

At least I haven't found one.

How William Shatner Changed The World.

Pretty funny and a decent one to check out from 2006. Jonathan Frakes and Ira Steven Behr, among others get screentime. Covers the usual suspects like cell phones, space travel, the highs and lows of the franchise without getting in a blame game.

No need to guess who came up with that title.

In Australia, that special was included on the VHS of the final TNG episode.
Here in the UK too. Region 2 (maybe 4 as well?) included it as a bonus feature for a DVD boxset called Star Trek: The Next Generation Moviebox. Something of a mislabelled product really. Basically they're two-parters edited together uninterupted by recaps and titles. It reused the 2002 clamshell, but with a black and red rubberized finish, presumably for fetishists! Yes, I bought that one too... before you ask.
