Tech Question for Xbox360 owners.

No, I havent gotten the red rings of death yet (knock on wood). But I do have a small issue that I wonder if it's a sign of things to come. My disc tray will open just fine but I can't shut it with the button, nor can I use the onscreen option of shutting it either. If I open it and want to close it I have to push the tray back in manually, which doesnt seem like it's meant to be done.

Should I worry about this? Or just chalk it up to a small glitch. And if so, is there anything that can be done about it?

^Pushing it should be okay as long as the drive takes over before it's actually closed and draws the tray in.

However, it sounds like the tray motor is going. Obviously that's not a sign of impending RRoD but unfortunately it sounds like it's going to need a trip to Microsoft to be fixed.

Mine does the same damn thing. I've read it's a common problem.

It's not something I would pay Microsoft to fix.

I actually had that issue with my original xbox. Pretty annoying but nothing critical
