Other than football, my teams suck right now. It's hard to hate a rival when there's no rivalry.

MLB
Red Sox - I'm sick of hearing about them 24/7 around here
Braves - Those late 90s teams always mopped up with the Mets, plus add John Rocker to the mix. I still don't like that team.

NBA
I'm a Knicks fan, so any of those good rivalries in the 90s - Bulls, Pacers, Heat. I hated all those teams at the time. Now I just hate the Knicks for being a joke.

NFL
Indy is the Pats biggest rival, but I don't really despise them. Probably the NY teams are the ones I can't stand, for a funny reason. They both sucked when I was growing up, and since we had 2 teams, you were stuck with a shitty game at both 1 and 4. So instead of Miami-Buffalo followed by Dallas-San Fran when those were top teams, you got the Jets-Bengals at 1, follwed by Giants-Cardinals at 4. We never got the good games.

The Detroit Lions? How can you hate a team that hasn't seriously contended for anything in my lifetime? Hell, they haven't seriously even been a threat to win the division since the 1990s...

Well you live in Massachusetts...so really how can you hate the Red Sox, because you hear about them all the time? You live in their home state.

I disagree about Indy though...as a Pats fan...still hate them.

Teams I despise:

NY Yankees...everytime those fuckers lose it brightens my day...

The Colts...the Jets and the Chargers, if only because TO and Phil Rivers are whiney little bitches...
 
I hate all the Boston/New England teams.

The Celtics, Red Sox, and Patriots can all suck it.

My list of teams I dislike isn't long.

NBA: Celtics
NHL: Penguins, Avalanche
NFL: No strong hates, but I don't care for the Patriots
MLB: Yankees and Red Sox
College: Notre Dame.

USC (The better one ;) ): At least Stanford and Cal upset them in the past few years.

Only a few teams I truly hate.

The Baltimore Ravens - because of that preening idiot, Ray (whats his name). I hate them only slightly less since they fired their former head coach, Brian (can't think of his last name either), Tony Saraguza.

The Denver Broncos - because of their clueless fans.

And of course, the beloved Celts, for so many reasons - Red Auerbach, Bailey Howell, Danny Ainge, Cornbread Maxwell, Kevin McHale, M.L. Carr, to name a few.

I doubt that's as big a deal as it might seem. In a universe where the guy who hid the Big Papi jersey in the concrete at Yankee Stadium is *from* New York, anything's possible...

Besides, it could work the other way: there might be some people out there who hate the Sox precisely *because* they keep hearing about them day after day after bleedin' day. And not all these people live in Mass. either! ;)

I mean, people heard "Achy Breaky Heart" all the time back in '92, and look how that turned out. :lol:
