In Season 4's Midway, Teal'c meets Ronon and the two "hit it off" immediately. They spar at full intensity with bokken (Ronon's wooden short sword) & jo (Teal'c's short staff) style weapons "for about an hour" (yeah, right). Until Colonel Carter steps in and calls it a draw.

Outside of Hollywood screen fighting, do you think it would really be a draw?

Because I think with Teal'c's experience - and the training of Master Bratac - he would actually make short work of Ronon. This in no way diminishes Ronon's skill - but "there's always someone bigger and better".
 
Teal'c in his prime would have probably spanked Ronon with ease. He is 150 years old and he does appear much tougher then Bratac was when he was in his 130/140s. Teal'c is the more controlled and I think would be the smarter warrior. Even if Ronon can out muscle a 150 year old Jaffa Teal'c would still probably win thanks to his mind, much like how Bratac was still killing off Jaffa in their prime.
 
Teal'c better warrior, better backstory, better people, more loyal to Earth and the Jaffa, has a deeper culture
Ronan as the SGA put it is just a "Conan" or a "Chewie"

Plus Teal'c would have kicked his ass
 
Teal'c without a doubt. Ronin is young, impulsive and undisciplined. Frankly, I am suprised he hasn't been killed yet. Wait, the Wraith did kill him in the last episode, technically..until they brought him back.
 
Another vote for the T Man. As others have said, even if phsyical skills are a wash, he is far more disciplined than Ronon. I think he would eventually find and exploit a weakness.
 
I don't know why it was so important to have the outcome be a draw. Anyone who has trained in martial arts learns pretty quick how to lose - and win - with dignity, and that better fighters are just a fact of life.

I don't think that Ronon was such a rookie that he wouldn't be able to handle learning a lesson from a clearly better and more experienced fighter. In fact, he could have used a lesson in humility, you ask me.
 
Ronon was more swagger than substance, whereas Teal'c had both in spades.

I say the former First Prime makes quick work of Mr. Dex.
 
There are certain truisms even in real world combat. Calm, strategy and experience wins. You use your opponents weaknesses to your advantage.

Ronin has none of this and just goes off the handle. Teal'c would just do a side step and rip his arm off.
