One thing I like about this PHENIUS and PHERB is how it teached the viewers (kids) the concept of continuity. The characters often refer back to past episodes, some from a year or so ago, and my son, who is six, will say things like "oh yeah, I remember that" and so on...
I think teaching children at an early age to try and remember past events helps them down the line, in terms of studying history and things like that.
My son's favorite show, non-animated? LOST. All last year when they kept switching back to the various points of the time line, I would often ask my son where in time they were..and he knew!!!! Whew! Since I forgot!!!!
