So went to a con today..

Saw VAUGHN ARMSTRONG! Wow what a fun, witty, energetic, story telling maestro of a man! A real stand out con guest!

The other guest was Nana Visitor, haven't sorted those photos out yet but will post a few tomorrow. And will also post a pic of a piece of an ENT set I bought and hopefully don't regret buying because it was just perfectly and wonderfully the kind of thing I love.

I've heard Vaughn is quite the musician. He is one of my fave recurring characters. And you're right- Linda Park is stunning!

Well, there it is. Linda Park doesn't age.

ETA: Our man Vaughn is doing extremely well also, I have to say.

Linda Park is offensively beautiful

I don't think I've actually ever seen any of the Enterprise people at any of the conventions I've been to

Did you get Vaughn drunk, like J. did?

And a piece of the set was for sale? I'm surprised anything was left after all these years. Must be small, like a console switch or something.

Yep I talked to him briefly. A lovely man, cannnot emphasize that enough! If you ever get to see him go!

These cons are very small, under 200 people so the guests are right next to you.

Here's the piece I bought, it is supposed to be from T'Pol's mother's house in Home. It was sold originally by Michael DeMeritt about ten years ago to the collector I bought it from. There were a few other people at the con that remembered this occurrence (wasn't at the con it was originally sold at) so I'm going to assume it is genuine!

I don't usually buy stuff at cons but this one pressed every teacake button.. from Enterprise, Vulcan script, the ep itself.. I would always regret it if I didn't take the opportunity. Can't actually see the thing in the trekcore screenshots, who knows maybe it was just on some wall and didn't end up being very visible. Will look at the ep at a later point.

Glad you got to meet him. The way I see it, you're both lucky. ;)

If you ever get to see him go!

I would like that very much...

I've said this many times, and I'll say it again: Not only is VH my favorite actor ever, his character on ENT (Admiral Forrest) reminded me so much of my dad. When Forrest was killed off, I was very sad. I guess it reminded me how fragile life is, and how totally unprepared I'd be if I ever lost my dad.

And even the mirror version of Forrest was a decent guy as well. :techman:

teacake, is that a cap next to it? I'm trying to figure out the size before watching the episode. Won't be able to screenshot though.

It's a star trek mug.

The guy told me it was from a door, because those are buttons to push but it was a bit vague and may not be the case.

If it's only near the outside door, maybe it some sort of Vulcan religious item, like a mezuzah case. Smaller than I thought, so similar size.

I didn't have any luck spotting it, but I have really bad eyesight and a tube tv built in 1991.

I looked too and didn't see it, but it is extremely similar to the control plates on her mom's busted fridge.
All the doors seemed to be low tech.

Teacake May I ask what con that was that was so small? I myself missed out on the San Francisco con a few months ago because I didn't know until last minute that I had childcare. And by then, I thought it would be sold out. I was so upset when I found out it wasn't! It's not far of a drive from where I am. And I consider going to Las Vegas, but I have a disabled kiddo that I don't want to be away from for that long.

And Mr. Laser Beam Admiral Forrest reminds me of my dad as well. :)
