TCM Genre movies schedule...

Yeah, I watched Masque of the Read Death as I'd never seen it all the way through before; but I was a bit disappointed in that with the Vincent Price/Roger Corman films they had last night, they didn't include my favorite: "The Raven".
Hmm... given the time slot, I wonder if it'll be an edited version without Victoria Vetri's nude scene. I know they've shown the uncut version in late night.
Excellent film, and I know Price was already an established star at that point, but I've never been comfortable with most seeing this as a "Vincent Price Movie", when "Al" (David) Hedison was the draw in the story.
At least I didn't say Vincent Price starred as the Fly, which I've occasionally seen done in the past.
Just seemed like a quick way to distinguish it from the Jeff Goldblum movie . . ...
If anything, I'd say The Fly centers more on Patricia Owens than it does on Hedison, since it's narrated from her character's point of view. Hedison got top billing, but his face and voice got limited screen time.
Oh, I was not blaming you for that--just pointing out how its too common to see The Fly referred to as a Price film, instead of Hedison's.
I guess Hedison got his "revenge" when Price guest starred in "The Deadly Dolls", a fourth season episode of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.
Monday: Late tonight, around 11:30: Mystery of the Wax Museum, the original 1930s version of HOUSE OF WAX.
Note; although Fay Wray is nominally the female lead, the movie is pretty much stolen by Glenda Farrell, who plays the wise-cracking ace reporter who actually cracks the case.

According to Wikipedia, Mystery of the Wax Museum was done in two-color Technicolor, which is enough to make me want to see it for that aspect alone.

Well, that explains it - when I saw it, I thought that (for whatever reason) the copy they were showing was one of Ted Turner's old 'colorized' versions from the 1990ies.
Watched it last night. The nudity was still there, despite the late-afternoon time slot.

Ahh. I have not watched this in some time. Looking forward to it.
Assuming War of the Worlds is the 1953 Pal/Haskin version, then this is an excellent line-up. Regarding Invasion of the Body Snatchers, I can take either the Seigel or Kaufman version and it would still be a stellar addition to the schedule.
Solid, with the exception of Twelve to the Moon.
Which version of Solaris? Otherwise, that's a winning line-up. Almost overkill (with a smile) for one day.
Always great to see Logan's Run and Westworld on the schedule.
Generally, I note if it's more unlikely to be on TCM. I know that's subjective but I didn't really intend to share this until the request. So for Solaris it is the original 1972? version and I would've noted if it was the remake.
I believe Star Wars has aired before, not sure about Star Trek. The page for ST II: TWOK on TCM is threadbare so that might be sign that it's the first time.
Oh, okay. Despite the praise some gave the remake, I don't think it holds a candle to the '72 version.
