Tomorrow is NBC's big announcement of their latest attempt to raise the Titanic after it's split in two and is halfway to the bottom of the Atlantic, but here's a tidbit to kick things off: Showtime greenlights The Borgias.
While I'm happy to see anything in the criminally underrepresented historical fiction genre, it irks me that this is a "replacement" for The Tudors. Why the frak can't that series continue after Henry XIII's death? The story is still interesting. Then they could do a "prequel" focusing on Henry XII. The only Tudor they should ignore is Elizabeth, because that story has been done to death and then some. Henry XII is new material for most folks.
For The Borgias, I wanna see Zachary Quinto cast in one of the roles. Right looks, right 'tude.
