TBC's Mega Movie Poll! (Bracket 1)

I did a count today and I realized that I own exactly 250 movies on DVD! (Unless there are a few stragglers under a cusion or something.) I decided that such a relatively even number would be a good starting point for a series of Mega Movie Polls. I've arranged the movies into alphabetical order and divided them into 5 brackets of 50 movies each. Each week, I'll hold a poll for a different bracket. The top 10 vote getters in each bracket will then form the 50 films in TBC's Mega Movie Finals!

should get Batman - Mask Of The Phantasm, Batman & Mr. Freeze - Subzero, Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection and The World Is Not Enough

I was never that impressed with Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.
I haven't yet seen Batman & Mr. Freeze: Subzero but I plan on it.
Alien 3 & Alien Resurrection were a bit too heavy on the gross-factor and too light on the escapism action for my taste.
The World Is Not Enough (which is probably my favorite James Bond movie) is on the list. It will be appearing in bracket 5 along with the other "W"s.

As for Blade Runner, I don't get it. It don't get why everyone is so impressed. Perhaps that's just because I've seen subsequent sci-fi movies do the noir thing better. Plus, I get my "Do robots have souls?" fix from Data on Star Trek: The Next Generation.

As for Blade Runner, I don't get it. It don't get why everyone is so impressed. Perhaps that's just because I've seen subsequent sci-fi movies do the noir thing better. Plus, I get my "Do robots have souls?" fix from Data on Star Trek: The Next Generation.

You're not the only one. I think there's about two other people on the board who don't like this movie. My boyfriend is an absolute scifi junkie (I just dabble in it) and he didn't like the movie either. I think that it's very much a product of its time.
