TAS + Poser =

Hey! It looks like you really "tamed" that toon outline setting. It can be a "bear"!

Sincerely,

Bill

Redfern, you don't know the half of it! Tech support had me going in circles, uninstalling, reinstalling, moving folder locations, losing and reinstalling my content twice... it was a nightmare! But I got er now! :)

Wow! That Orion bug ship is really impressive. I tried to draw a 4-view of that years ago, but it drove me nuts. Nice work Kail.

Nice! Looks like all the tribble-ations have been worth it :)

I really like the cargo ships - great work!

We can thank one Madison Bruffy for modeling and sharing the Orion pirate craft. But even he admits he was quite stumped about certain shapes having only two or three views from the episode to derive its frame.

Kail has made the best use of that mesh I've ever seen, looking very authentic to the Filmation cels.

Sincerely,

Bill

^^^You have to take into account the perspective in those side views, as the near nacelle appears bigger than the far one, so overlaying a zero-perspective ortho atop an in-perspective rendering is of course not going to match up.

True, but an alternate version might be a good side project. I remember a Japanese model kit long ago that actually looked similar.

Pretty proud of this one. This is my first time getting into and altering the texture maps. This is the Aggi Enterprise model, which is a great model, but I did not care for the grid lines that came with the model. I made a new map, adding my own light/thin grid lines and adding new text. Very time consuming for a beginner like myself, but great fun. Spent a LOT of time playing with the color shadings ect.

These do make me think of TAS, But what they really make me think of is the ships from Star Wars: Clone Wars and I mean the shorts ran on Cartoon Network before Episode III by Gendy Tartikovski rather than the 3D rendered series. They had just this look of modeled ships rendered as line art.

I think it's a great look.

Another one I'm prouder of than I should be. The Galileo model was purchased from Tony Oliveria at xcalpro. I remade the texture map to create the Hawking! Believe it or not it took me most of the afternoon. I rendered the model with Posers toon setting, but I had to tweek the colors and rework some of the lines.
