Archer Class Heavy Cruiser Prototype on one of it's first test flights, with no armaments or defenses she comes under a surprise attack from what looks to be a federation destroyer.

Well she is deep in federation space at a secret test site so there is no danger, or that's what it seems, if any non federation vessel enters the test sectors perimeter automated defense drones (similar to those seen in the Best of both Worlds) will be scrambled. They are of course not near as as advanced as the Mars defense drones, but they are what they are based on. The Diablo having an almost identical signature as her mirror Federation counterparts was able to enter the test site virtually undetected and Captain Gary Seven saw his chance to strike a blow to the mirror federation.

Surprise attack = assassination attempt.

As Stated in the reply above captain Gary Seven was seeking to show the weakling Mirror United federation Of Planets the might of The Imperial Federation Of Planets.



Captain Seven and his crew were thrown into this mirror universe by accident, while patrolling one of the Empires recently conquered systems of a fledgling people known as the Bajora the Diablo picked up Strange readings, they went to investigate when suddenly space seemed to envelope the whole ship in a strange bluish light, next thing they knew they were in a mirror Timeline, one Captain Seven had heard Captain Spock speak of.
