Taking the test

Hello. I'd like to ask for advice. My girlfriend has been taking a part of the Praxis exam, her fifth time this morning and she failed again. She had superub studying (much better than mine) and went to tutoring. I don't think its anxeity. I suspect that there might be some kind of mental block when she takes the actual exam. She did great on practice tests at home and the tutoring place. Is there anyplace or service that might help with this.

Where are you located? Your state may have alternatives to taking the Praxis exam.

As an example:

Maryland

In place of Praxis I, Maryland will accept the following options from candidates:

  • SAT taken after 2005, combined math and critical reading scores of 1100;
  • SAT taken between 4/95 and 2005, math and verbal composite score of 1100;
  • SAT taken prior to 4/95, math and verbal score of 1000;
  • ACT composite score of 24;
  • GRE math and verbal composite score of 1000.
----

Note: There are also alternatives for individuals with a disability.

There are some Klingons who feel the same about the exam as yourself. But they'll think twice about cheating on it while you're in command.
