Takei is going to be on 'Im a celebrity get me out of here'

I was going to post about this. Except my thread was going to be titled "Their most terrible decisions?" (I might still post it actually!). :o

In Memoriam:

George Takei's Self Respect.

A moment of silent prayer if you please...

I really can't wait for this! Aimed at the Big Brother crowd but it does have a massive audience. Role on Sunday, all the more reason for me to be lookign forward to this series!!!! Woooo!

I'm quite excited by this, Takei should be very entertaining. Hope he wins. I do feel sorry for him though that he has to share a jungle with Robert Kilroy-Silk!

I read this this morning. Poor George. I hope he gets well soon. No doubt Kilroy will be making idiotic gay jibes at him. *sigh*

I wonder if he'll hit it off - or the producers are hoping he'll hit it off - with Brian Paddick (former assistant head of the Metropolitan Police, the London policeforce, for the benefit of non-UKers), who's also on the show. Both are gay, and both politically active (after leaving the Met, Paddick was the Lib-Dem candidate for Mayor of London).

George of the jungle?

I wonder if when he's evicted Nichelle will appear in a shuttlecraft to take him back to civilisation...

How many times do you think the topic of Star Trek and/or his partner will come up in conversation during the run of the show? Knowing Takei there will probably be a mention Star Trek at least once in the day I think even so much on the new Trek as much as the Original.

He'll probably spend half the time slagging off Shatner and the other half attempting to persuade people that he should get an Excelsior series. Plus lots of mentions of why he's a great role model for gay people.

Martina Navaratilova's also gay - so they could have a threesome in the jungle....

I really don't like this programme. But I do like Martina Navratilova. And George would be interesting to watch. Damn, I'm gonna have to tune in. :klingon:

I've heard from rumour central that Shatner is going to be airlifted in halfway through as a 'surprise' guest contestant. I hope it's true

Ok i was going to make a quip about Martina and George and the racket from all those old balls....but i will let it pass.

Still its not like a lot of people will see the programs, its on UK TV,its on a Saturday night and its shit.(Pardon my french)......so George's reputation should be safe.

Oh man that would be HYSTERICAL!

Maybe that's what all this all so public bickering between the two has been leading up to....

I live in hope! :D
