I disagree. I see a balance. Across the spectrum of films, installments I thought were weak had worse WOM and did less at the BO. Correlation enough from my POV but, obviously, MWV.

The problem is "Good" and "Quality" are subjective. Some people like Mad Men and think it is a "good" and "quality" show. It bored me to tears. I could not invest in anything going on there. Succession on HBO, in my opinion, is a "good" and "quality" show. I know people who can't stand watching it. So while YOU think the MCU is not "good" or a "quality" endeavor, and that is a valid opinion to hold, others don't. It is a more accurate debate to simply discuss whether you enjoyed something or not, and why. IMHO. YMMV.

I prefer when people tell me why rather than reference ratings, reviews and critics. I'd rather hear a person's point of view than a random link.
