Just an observation... I was perusing the aggregator page today, and noticed that for the first time in, actually I don't know how long, long-standing chart topper
Articles of the Federation has been dethroned, not just by one book, but by two!
Currently in top spot is the recent SNW novel,
Toward the Night. In fact, as of this writing, it actually has a perfect score! Granted, it basically just came out, and so far has only 5 votes compared to
AotF's 42 votes, so things could easily change there. We'll see how things go.
And in second place, is last year's LDS choose-your-own-adventure graphic novel,
Warp Your Own Way. It has a few more votes than
Toward the Night (11), but if I had to guess, I might think it's more of a niche read, so its result might be a little more "sticky" at the top. But who knows?
It was just weird to suddenly not see
AotF at the top!
I do have to say, I really enjoyed
Warp Your Own Way, and I thought it was a fun concept executed well. But it's such a different animal than
AotF that I'm not really sure it's fair to compare them like that. As much as I enjoyed
WYOW, I have a hard time saying it's somehow "better" than
AotF.
As with all personal opinions, YMMV!
