T4 News: Arny CGI Cameo, Robert Patrick in T5?

I hadn't heard this before...

So apparently the CGI cameo of Arny as a T-800 is now good to go. There had been a lot of hemming and hawing over if it would pass muster.

Also, some light consideration of having Robert Patrick involved in some way with T5, as the human basis for the T-1000. IE, the guy the T-1000 gets modeled on.

If they used that funky CGI de-aging stuff they did with X-Men 3 on Patrick, they could get him to reprise the T-1000, too. Theoretically. Dunno how far that tech has come, how expensive it is.

I always wondered who played the other Terminator in the future scenes of the original. What model Terminator was that, a T-800?

Also what is a model number? As a kid I thought Arnie's model number was cyberdyne systems model number 101

Cyberdyne Systems Model (CSM) 101.

Series T-800.

The other guy was also a T-800, but a different CSM.

Same as a Ford F-150 Truck (series) model 1999, model 2000, model 2001. In such cases, the models are years, not so with the Terminators, but... same basic thought behind it.

As for Patrick, the idea is to have him play the human the T-1000 was based off. Thus he could be 60.

If he did anything T-1000, yeah, they would need to CGI de-age him, but such is feasible now days. Long as it was just for a brief bit, not the whole film.

Wasn't the human whose shape the T-1000 adopted for most of the film that of a cop he killed shortly after his arrival in the 'present'?

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

^Don't know, it's been awhile since I last saw that movie. But I thought that was the T-1000 original form? he just happen to take the cops uniform that's it.

They wouldn't need to use any CGI on him, they could quite easily say that he based it on a younger version of him (then on the T-1000 they would have to use CGI I guess).

Lol, bit drunk atm :D

This is kind of old news. There had been some rumors of Arnold not really making an appearance, and Arnold himself has said some things that cast doubt on it (although it could be a ploy or a clever play on words). If his likeness is in it, I hope it doesn't look stupid.

The idea of Robert Patrick is kinda meh. I'm not really a fan of basing the T-1000's looks on an old guy's younger self.

^ I kinda prefer the novels version of it was based on a Resistance soldier it encountered. Similar to Goodnow in TSCC for the T-1000 in Today is the Day.
