SyFy puts Sanctuary on the chopping block.

Sanctuary is already coming back for a 13 episode season 4 and I have to admit I always assumed this 20 episdoe season marked the halfway point so we would get a final 5th season of 13 episodes but looks like not.

Sanctuary will air non summer mondays placing it against big network and other cable shows = DEATH. SyFy are just looking for an excuse and they have it as the ratings will plummet under 1 million on such a night and I wouldn't put it past them to cancel the already ordered season 4.

Once this show is done, I am done with SyFy as the fluffy light Eureka and Warehouse 13 interest me little. I think its time the channel changed its name.

They can't cancel Season 4, they don't produce it. Sure if ratings drop so low they may not air it but it will be available elsewhere. I'm not expecting overly great ratings in the next couple of weeks, especially with SGU as a lead in, but most shows in competition to it end in a couple of weeks.

Being Human had the advantage of being brand new and the fact that its now not airing the middle of spring until the start of summer with SGU as a lead in.

SGU went above 1 million with the latest ratings but Sanctuary went down at 10pm with a BIG SERIES LOW

Season 4 will be it unless moved back to fridays, assuming SYFY chooses to air season 4 at all, they own the show right so they could easily pull the plug on it still.
