I've been pretty happy with most of Syfy's stuff, so I'll probably check this out. But year, I do have to agree that it isn't the most original idea.

And yeah, I was feeling snarky when I posted. That line I quoted was nearly identical to the description for SGU. Couldn't help but think of Stargate.

I wouldn't hold out too much hope for it. Seems more strongly sci fi than they'd be willing to go. They pussyfooted with Person of Interest and the ratings haven't been great by their standards.
