SyFy 2011 non-scripted shows announced

I'm just annoyed that the "science fiction" channel won't give me what I want. Let's say the Golf Channel suddenly decided they wanted to program anything and everything, as long as it doesn't involve golf, or maybe only tangentally (a reality show about keeping your lawns nice and green, let's say) or stupidly (random people off the street playing golf while dressed up as clowns). I personally wouldn't care, but I can certainly sympathize with the golfers who would be livid.

Thank you Temis!

My husband doesn't understand why I won't watch a show I like if its on the 'wrong' channel. I don't understand how a network can air something that is completely against its very concept and still be the same channel. Remember when The Nashville Network started showing TNG? You knew they had a rebranding in the wings. Planet Green is showing stuff about Egypt, History International is showing Life After People and Earth 2100. Yeah, that's history all right, sure.

Does hubby watch ESPN? Ask him to envision ESPN suddenly deciding that henceforth, they will show only sports played by people dragged randomly off the street and dressed as clowns. Clown Basketball, Clown Baseball, Clown Football, Clown Hockey, Clown NASCAR (well, maybe that wouldn't be all that different). :rommie:

Syfy makes me jealous of people who love soaps and have the soap channel, or people who love cooking or crime shows or whatever and their channels give them what they want. I'm still waiting for a real Scifi channel. I think it'll definitely come but I don't know when. Hope it's not when I'm an old man.

Actually, I'm the sports fan in my house and I haven't watched ESPN since they took off hockey. I like ping pong and poker and log rolling and bowling, but are they actually defined as sports? Me thinks not. I hate reality tv.

I swear I wish new shows would just stop and channels would become 24 hour on demand streams of old shows. Universal HD is supposed to be the flagship channel for Hi Def programming in the NBC Universal library. What do they show every night? Charlie's Angels and TJ Hooker. Why on earth would they choose those? Not that I'm not watching, some nights they are the best thing on! :)
